I love my Winter body care rituals. I always feel slightly ‘run-down’ in the winter so I do tend to take extra time and care with my body care routine: I love dry brushing, particularly at this time of year when everything just feels a little chapped and dry. It is so good for exfoliation, lymphatic drainage and increasing energy and circulation, which is definitely needed right now! I also love a body scrub, my favourite being BUFF by MIRROR WATER of course, but will often not do both dry brushing and scrubbing on the same day, especially in the winter when my skin is a little more sensitive ..read more

Winter is here again and I am all about fighting the blue feeling it brings with it! Here are just a few of the ways I like to beat the blues… Baths- of course no.1 on my list is baths! Would it be my list without them? I am a self-confessed bath addict and I truly believe there is no better way to beat the winter blues than bathing! A bath at any time is great but in the Winter, a nighttime bath just hits different. The candles. The ambient lighting. The aromas. The steam. Ahhhhh. I love it. I love to use MIRROR WATER’s SOAK Bath Salts to get extra zen and in relaxation mode. A Winter bath w ..read more

Winter ‘why nots?’

Things to do when it feels too cold to do anything… Winter clean- I have never really understood the reasoning behind a ‘spring clean’. I mean sure it’s about new beginnings, fresh spring air and all that jazz but I don’t know about you as soon as the sun starts to peak its head through those wintery clouds… I am outside. So naturally, I think winter is the perfect time to undertake a mahoosive clean. What better time than the actual beginning: January. Also it is freeeeezing and I’m indoors anyway so why not? At home work out- I love going to classes like pilates and yoga but I often have a ..read more

The Winter Reading List
Estée Lalonde

I have finally got all my ducks in order and come up with my ultimate winter reading list. At this time of year there truly is nothing better than falling deeply into a really good book, so here is a list of many for you to do so… Down the Drain, Julia Fox I love Julia Fox! I think she is brilliant and such an icon, so it was only natural that I read her autobiography and I thoroughly enjoyed her honesty and wild stories! The Secret History, Donna Tartt I cannot recommend this book enough! It is gripping from start to finish. If you’re into ‘dark academia’ with lots of twists and turns you ..read more

I have finally got around to making my summer reading list! Now that I have my beloved Kindle I am making it a point to read everyday, always making sure I have it in my bag. I have curated a list of recommendations from friends, or authors that I already love and want to read more off. It’s a mixture of novels, and non fiction so I hope there is something for everyone. So grab a spot in the park, slap on some sunscreen, and let's dive into these literary gems together! Let My People Go Surfing by Yvon Chouinard This is actually the first book I have started from this list. It’s a memoir by th ..read more

This might be an unpopular opinion but I love wearing my knits in summer. In the U.K we still have some cooler days, and that sweet spot where you can wear a knitted dress, or a knitted top and bare legs is my favourite! There are so many good options online at the moment so I wanted to put together a list of the very best. Plus you can wear the items over the cooler months so you get a lot out of each piece! > ..read more

The Best Hydrating Serums - For Every Skin Type and Budget
Estée Lalonde

As we all know by now, I am not one to shy away from a multi-step, self-indulgent skincare routine. That said, if I had to bring it back to basics, then my non-negotiable routine would have to include: a cleanser, a serum, a moisturiser, and an SPF. I know, I know - some of you out there may be going without a serum, and are now reading this wondering if and why it’s really needed, but let me tell you: your skin, now and in the future, will thank you for it. So, first thing’s first - what is a serum, and how do you use it? A serum is a concentrated formula of powerful ingredients used to help ..read more
