Young Sheldon Handled an Inevitable Tragedy in the Best Possible Way But We're Still Not Ready To Say Goodbye

The last two minutes of Young Sheldon Season 7 Episode 12 were inevitable, but we still didn't see them coming. This was one of the season's most positive, upbeat, and funny episodes... until it wasn't. The reason George was absent from the family portrait was as shocking for viewers as it was for his family, and that was probably the point. Death is never an easy subject to tackle, especially in generally more lighthearted series. Before the announcement that this would be Young Sheldon's final season, many viewers hoped that the producers would ignore the backstory in The Big Bang Theory ..read more

Grey's Anatomy Season 20 Episode 7 Review: She Used to Be Mine

The balance between medical cases and touches of personal storylines continues. The interns were mostly endearing during Grey's Anatomy Season 20 Episode 7, but the connections to the medical cases were most compelling. If it slipped anyone's mind that the new batch of interns has shades of the OG interns, then this installment was a reminder of how much Simone Griffith is her class' Meredith Grey. Most of the season has focused on the interns simply navigating life at Grey Sloan. And sometimes, we don't delve into their personal elements nearly as much as we should. The balance between ..read more

Station 19 Season 7 Episode 7 Review: Give It All

Station 19 knows how to bring the pain, the laughter, and, yeah, even some frustration. We got a healthy dose of all of the above with Station 19 Season 7 Episode 7, which was the epitome of a rollercoaster ride because they'd have you chuckling one minute and sniffling the next. No one will ever accuse this series of not bringing all the emotions. While they balanced out a couple of different things, Carina and Maya were at the forefront for the most part. With Carina, they revisited the lawsuit that Wendy filed against her for the health issues her child faced, and with only a couple of i ..read more

Whoa! Joey's intervention didn't go at all as expected. Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 4 Episode 12 once again proved that this is the best series on television, at least until it moves to its new home on Peacock. Stabler and Randall went vigilante to force Joey into sobriety, but they got a lot more than they bargained for. Now everything's in place for a season finale that may be literally explosive! Stabler and Randall Made a Desperate Move They'd had enough of Joey's nonsense, especially after learning he might have been involved in Sam's death, but also managed to break the te ..read more

Law & Order: SVU Season 25 Episode 12 Review: Solid Police Work and a Tragic Case, But Something Was Missing

Did Benson do the right thing? On Law & Order: SVU Season 25 Episode 12, she wanted to get closure and justice for Sykes and other families of children who went missing in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Sykes hated her for it, and finding Crystal's body after all these years broke her heart. Still, Benson's work allowed the families to get answers, which can be an important part of healing. Shannah Sykes is No Amanda Rollins Maybe it was because Rollins was fresh in my mind after Law & Order: SVU Season 25 Episode 11, but it felt like the SVU writers were trying too hard to make Sy ..read more

Elsbeth Season 1 Episode 8 Review: Artificial Genius

Like a dog with a bone, Elsbeth is on the case of a pilfered pooch like she has a bone to pick in Elsbeth Season 1 Episode 8. Technically, it's the dog's owner that Elsbeth is looking into, but this episode is so crammed with canines that it's hard to focus on anything other than the adorable dogs. However, at the center of "Artificial Genius" is Quinn, the CEO of a location-based crime alert app called Cerberus. Audiences who watched the Netflix show YOU will likely recognize Elizabeth Lail as the actress who portrayed Beck. Elsbeth has solidified certain formulaic practices, such as havin ..read more

Law & Order's 500th Episode Wasn’t Special Enough Despite A Strong Story
TV Fanatic

No matter how you slice it, five hundred episodes is a big deal. Law & Order: SVU hit it last year, albeit with a controversial episode that angered many survivors. Now it was Law & Order Season 23 Episode 12's turn. They marked their 500th episode with a story that, ironically enough, seemed more suited for SVU but otherwise seemed like a typical episode. Was it special enough for the 500th? Law & Order Doesn't Do Tribute Episodes When Sam Waterson exited the series on Law & Order Season 23 Episode 5, it was a strong story that was still disappointing because it didn't ..read more

Eddie Diaz, get behind me! I'm going to get you off this carousel! We need to have an earnest conversation about Eddie Diaz in 9-1-1 Season 7, and we WILL have that conversation. But first, we have much to discuss. And A LOT was happening during 9-1-1 Season 7 Episode 7. Fresh off the Madney wedding, Maddie and Chimney would find themselves smack in the middle of a call gone seriously wrong that awakened many feelings in Maddie. The frightened mother's call hit too close for Maddie. The woman was calling from the passenger seat of a vehicle that we, the audience, and Maddie assumed was bein ..read more

Can James Gunn Make the DC Version of End Game?

In the first week of May 2024, the first images of James Gunn's Superman were posted, with David Corenswet now inhabiting the role of the Man of Steel. Looking at Corenswet, it's easy to see that this Superman is a throwback to Christopher Reeve's groovy interpretation of the Superman of 1978. Not just a superhuman being but a likable dork with a heart of gold, the Superman that baby boomers fell in love with. It's the opposite of what Zack Snyder envisioned with Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice -- an aging Superman feeling alienated from humankind and looking downright s ..read more
