Hello, I’ve had a single ESP8266 controlling 1 144 LED WS2812b strip for around 6 months now and decided I wanted to add on a second ESP8266 controller that would control 4 144 WS2812b strips. I set up both controllers to be separate from each other, however whenever I turn on the new controller it causes the led connected to the old controller to flash randomly almost like a strobe effect. However as soon as I turn the new controller off, the old controller/led strip works like normal. Also, the new controller is having no issues at all, only the old controller whenever the new controller is ..read more

Disclaimer *I have basically no technical/electrical skills and knowledge |
I bought 100 feet of LED strip lights from Ledagic on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/Ledagic-Bedroom-Changing-Control-Decoration/dp/B0CP53XT7Z?th=1) and I have a considerable amount left over. I don't want to connect what I have as excess to what I've already put up as it would not look good or work out. I made sure to cut the strip by the copper mark in case I would somehow be able to use the rest with your help ? So I think whatever electrical device can be attached to that copper mark but I have no idea so I'll ..read more

I am looking into buying a red light panel and there are different claims from manufacturers but they also have a conflict of interest.
They use predominently 5050 types of LED on their panels. Some have 3W some have 5W , some have dual chips some of single chips .
So 2 LEDs in one spot instead of 2 in same size encapsulation. There are a few claims some make :
Claim 1/ « LEDs are used at only 60% of their power so that they don’t overheat and last longer » (I do believe this to be true) but then he said « and 3W LEDs perform better /emit more light than the 5W LEDs at 60% » .
Is that true ..read more

Hey y'all. LED noob here. I just finished installing some 24V single colour LEDs in a cabinet project. After the install I noticed they weren't as bright as I hoped. Is it possible to increase the brightness somehow without having to re-wire the LEDs? I used the MiBoxer WL5 controller, but the app is really bad, it connects to my phone but it turns off the lights randomly. I've been using the FUTOO7 remote; however the brightness +/- button doesn't work. Equipment list below.

Hi guys, could someone help me with this? I am trying to take this led light out but I just can’t. It doesn’t work to pull it and the orange thingies on the sides do nothing. Is there any way without having to screw everything loose.

I'm looking for Lights for an art studio, with these specs:
5000k temp
minimum 90 CRI (altough kinda the maximum too since pass that gets really expensive)
With watever type of light I find, the goal is to get around 8000 lumen total
I've found this NA brand: NorthLux™, and has all these and a decent price, unfortunatelly the shipping is quite expensive to spain, and i've seen some reviews about their recent carelessness in packaging, inside EEUU that is not a problem because you cand send them back for free, get refunds etc, but buying from spain would be leap of faith since you would have t ..read more

I cut apart and wired together some cob light strips under my kitchen counters, but i can't turn the lights off without unplugging. The lights are dimmable and tunable white. Both cool and warm bulbs stay lit. I can dim them a little bit, but not turn off.
I'm guessing one of the clips used to wire the cut strips together is sending power where it shouldn't be, but I don't see it by checking each clip.
Any other possible causes for something like this?

This is for a school theatre production ....
Need to light up five different signs independently on stage. Looking for battery powered led strips that can be controlled independently from a a single app via WiFi, or strips that could be controlled by different remotes without triggering more than one at once. TIA!!!

Pictured is my LED strip BEFORE getting cut. Afterwards, my intention is to solder wires between the two contact points (so I can have them make a hard turn).
My question: What type of wires will I need to complete this connection? Specific, detailed answers appreciated. Thank you!
