Although it is not something we recommend, multiple wicking can be achieved relatively safely in larger diameter glassware that can cope with the heat from more than one flame. For this reason, and in the interests of safety of all, the following information is intended as a guide to give you the correct initial platform to work from.
You CANNOT just duplicate the wick you use in a single container. That size wick has a melt pool and flame suitable to that diameter glassware only. Duplicating it means you are duplicating the heat and flame generated which is extr ..read more

What is Melt & Pour Soap?
'Melt & Pour Soap' is a true soap, just like cold pressed soap, that has already gone through the difficult process of saponification. It is this process that transforms the caustic lye into something that is safe for the skin. Making soap from scratch can be expensive, difficult to setup, difficult to learn and quite time consuming. Using a melt and pour base means that the manufacturer has already done all the initial processing for you, leaving you the final stages of colouring, scenting and pouring your soap.
All soap uses 'fats' for the ..read more

You've made some beautiful candles: they smell great: they look fantastic: Now it's time to burn them.
You light your first, walk away and come back some time later to find your candle is burning straight down the centre.
There are two main reasons for this.
Wrong wick size
Although this is quite often the 'go to' reason for tunnelling, it's only really one you can say with any certainty after quite a few hours burning.
You will need at least 5 hours of burn time, if not more, to decide whether the wick is too small or not. Sometimes it will be super obvious after 5 hours that the ..read more

Liquid dyes
plastic sandwich bags
Candle fragrance
Suitable Jar
Scales
Measuring cup or pipette
Directions:
Step 1: Weigh out your wax between each plastic bag, depending on how many colours are you going to make. It doesn't matter if you have too much or leftover as the wax will keep fresh in the b ..read more

'Sand' Candles have been around for many years and have to be one of the easiest forms of candles to make.
These candles are not made from 'sand' but from palm wax, due to the wax granules looking very much like sand.
Sand candles are a great craft activity to do with kids as you do not need to melt the wax and expose children to the dangers of heat and hot wax.
They are also perfect for event and wedding planners due to their cost efficiency, ease of set up and reusability.
What you need:
Palm wax
Wicks
