Thursday evening Seniors 1st travelled to Aberdare pool to play Cwm Draig in the knock out cup. We won after finishing the game 17 17 Newport won 4 2 on penalties, a special mention for Ewan for fantastic goal keeping! We had a very busy weekend of waterpolo, here is a roundup of the matches. Thursday evening Seniors 1st travelled to Frome and had a convincing win 17 8! Friday evening Senior 2nds travelled to Bath University and lost 11 5, a score which  doesn’t reflect the quality of play from our Newport team. Saturday afternoon our youngest team the 2002s travelled to Bristol. The team suffered defeat to Bristol 36 6. Congratulations to the six boys who competed in the National Age Group competitions in Manchester last weekend, it was a fantastic weekend of waterpolo. Toby S captained the 2000 team which included Luke T and Ollie C. Well done to Luke and Ollie who played for Wales in the recent EU Nations Tournament. The whole tournament was televised live through YOUTUBE and provided a lot of great entertainment. The Welsh Team came 10th in the Tournament overall and 2nd of the British Home Nations, finishing behind England, but beating Ireland and Scotland. The Juniors have training on Saturday this week.
