Made the mistake of going to a local outdoor stuff co-op for some shoes. The person helping get something that fit my freaking pontoons (11.5 double wide. Thanks dad.) was great, but when I got to the register it was a shitshow. I stacked the shoes and the other purchases I had next to each other with the barcodes facing her and all visible - she could have got the scanner out of the stand and just BIP BIP BIP BIP BIP and we're off to the races. Yesterday I went to the mall with a friend to shop for senior prom dresses. While we were walking past a kiosk worker she compliments us and begins to chat us up in a very friendly tone. She gives us tiny samples of a hair mask and continues to make conversation, saying she's bored and wants to give us something for free. Really not sure what to think here :/ Today I was grabbing lunch at a restaurant on my university's campus. Hey guys, Let me start off saying I work in retail myself, but outside of work, I'm very shy and hate confrontation. I bought some cute strawberry socks from a little store. Thought I'd share my experience last year at a certain old favorite of mine - it's a black-and-white tiled burger chain that also has good shakes. I usually use the drive-thru, but this time I was getting my free birthday shake, so I decided to go inside. I ordered two jars of stuff from a national craft supply store. One jar was gloss varnish, one jar was dishwasher safe water based sealer. I was pretty happy when I checked my mail and it was there until I grabbed the package. It was gross. I could feel both jars and a lid, which didn't bode well. I could also feel the goop from one of the jars. Judging by the size and shape it was the dishwasher safe sealer. I contacted the seller and explained the situation. So my sister and her boyfriend went to [a place that rhymes with Daco Sell] this weekend and she just wanted a bean burrito. The woman asked, "The one with the lettuce and tomato?" My sister was utterly baffled and just told the woman, "No just a bean burrito." They get their food and take it home. Lo and behold, my sister's bean burrito was loose black beans in a tortilla with nothing else. A bean burrito is so incredibly simple - refried beans, sauce, cheese, maybe onion (depending on where you are). She said she just ate it anyway and it was awful.
