3 years into my home, still fighting the good fight. But today was a good day.

My neighbor’s yard is mud and he waters it every day… Why?

I live in a fairly nice subdivision in a fairly nice part of town. One of the neighbor’s on our street has a yard that is nothing but mud, yet he waters or tends to it nearly every day. But there’s so much more to it than that. First of all, this has been going on for, at the very least, 7 years. This man tends to his mud yard EVERY. DAY. If he’s not watering his mud, he can be seen throwing handfuls of it from one place to another or raking it. Rain or shine. Weekends. Holidays. Every. Day. Advice for this dead lawn after leaf removal?

The yard is primarily hard packed dirt. I just removed about 2 years worth of leaves and everything is dead underneath. There’s a lot of weeds and moss and the rest is St.Augustine. There’s a sprinkler system, so I am a little hesitant to aerate.. submitted by /u/Tankstanky [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Can anybody shed any light on as to what this is? Is it POA Annua? Talk fescue seed head? Something else? It’s all over my yard and I don’t recall it being there last year. Zone 5a. TIA submitted by /u/blaked1226 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
