Hello guys, how are you doing? I was quite busy lately and went to some workshops on my weekend to improve my knowledge and it was so fun! Well, on my last weekend I went to this Chinese restaurant, Lifeng, at Mandarin Oriental Hotel after workshop for dinner. The interior is beautiful, classy and elegant. They also offer private room for private gathering and celebrations.
Cammomile Tea - IDR 60,000 ++/ cup
The cammomile tea had a really soothing fragrance and I'd love to sip it every once in a while.
As for the food, they offer authentic Cantonese cuisine with a modern twist.

Calling all of you who crave for a Japanese Shabu-shabu because another new restaurant has just opened in PIK!! Been actually opened for around 3 months already, Portable is offering a pretty decent yet affordable all you can eat shabu-shabu among it's competitor: IDR 125K ++/ person for premium beef and 95K++/person for low fat beef. These are for the super express package which you can only order the beef up to 45 minutes (which I think you have more than enough time) and can still enjoy your meal AFTER the times up. But if you think 45 minutes is too rush for you, they also offer 90 minute ..read more

So, as I've mention before on earlier post that I just got out from the hospital, I am now more concern about my health (not that I've never concerned before) and begin to take care more of myself. I was having a really bad gastric problem lately so I started taking honey since I heard honey is good for ulcer and gastrointestinal disorder. A tablespoon of honey daily should be more than enough. Soon, I noticed that I was gaining back my appetite and feeling a lot better, I don't know if it's because of the honey or that I was actually getting better by myself LOL but I believe it gave benefici ..read more

Hello guyss! Sorry for the late update because I just got out from the hospital recently. Sigh. Well, I hope you all are in a good condition! For today post, I am going to review about the newly restaurant named Rock Paper Scissors in Kuningan area. They come from the same group that also manage Wilshire and Bottega Ristorante and as you may all might expect, their decor is always fancy and this one has a glass house concept for the smoking area.
The restaurant are serving modern Japanese Yoshoku for the food and also a selection of wine, sake, and other alcoholic beverages. Since I was n ..read more

Hello everyone! How's your CNY Holiday? I went to Bangkok on CNY for 6 days with my family and I'm going to post about the trip next time for sure. But first, I want to tell you guys that I've just accomplished one of my new year resolutions which is having my teeth braced! Yep you read it right. I've wanted to do this since a long time ago but I kept going back and forth with my decision and yet my parents were kinda discouraging me to do it since they don't find any problem with my crooked upper teeth. It's not a bad one actually but it kinda bothers me. Long story short, I had m ..read more

Chinese New Year is coming up and I'd like to say Happy Chinese New Year in advance to everyone who celebrate it! And for those who usually have a family dinner on Chinese New Year Eve, and have no idea where to go, you might want to check out this currently trending steamboat restaurant called Eight Treasure in Plaza Indonesia. Don't be mistaken with the one in Wahid Hasyim, because they both have the same name.
Eight Treasure has a classic Chinese interior and by the time you step into the dining area, you will notice a Chinese herbal smell. They claim to use only the finest ing ..read more

If you love the idea of having dinner with a view of fish aquarium, then imagine if you can have a penguin aquarium view while dining. Yes, penguins! So, last weekend my brother told me about this newly opened restaurant Pingoo in Neo Soho Mall and I was so excited to take a look of it. With a beach house decoration concept, Pingoo is a part of Jakarta Aquarium which is a collaboration between Taman Safari Indonesia and Aquaria KLCC.
We came here on Saturday around 5.30 p.m. and queued for about 45 minutes before we could get a seat. I highly recommend you to come earlier if you don't want ..read more

Hello everyone! How's your Christmas day? 2016 is about to end real soon. Have you made another resolutions for 2017? Because I have! lol. Well, speaking of Christmas day, I went to this cafe in Kelapa Gading area named MONKS on the afternoon with my friend. Not neccesarily to celebrate Christmas but we just simply wanted to try their uniqe "pebble/stone" cake look alike. We first saw it on instagram and we couldn't help but to give it a try.
We were a little bit full by the time we came so we just ordered the cake along with their appetizers for share. They serve a fusion of both Western and ..read more

Yay! *drum roll*Been trying to blog about food and stuff from a long time ago but I was too busy to create one (I know it's just a lame excuse). But really, it might be the best timing for me now because I just resigned from my office about a couple weeks ago and here I am in front of my computer at home, starting to give you a review of some food that I've tried recently.
My first post is about the newest coffe shop Toby's Estate that is located at PIK's Avenue North Lobby. I came there with a friend of mine last weekend and si ..read more
