Day 9:  The Hubby, Eldest Girl and I decided to have buffet breakfast at our hotel's SOL Sky Lounge and Bar while the mum watched the younger kids in the room (buffet was not worth it for them). The breakfast costs 18k won per person, which was really affordable.  We enjoyed our food and the beautiful view of Myeongdong from the window table! After a good breakfast, we went back to our rooms to prepare before heading out to Namdaemun Market. We didn't have a lot of time to explore the last time we visited 10 years ago.  We were pleased to find that the shops and mak ..read more

Seoul II Day 8: Starfield COEX Mall & Library

We were taking it slower today as we head towards the end of our trip! My mum loves Paris Baguette so we headed there for breakfast (yet again). After breakfast, we took the train to Samseong Station to visit Starfield COEX Mall. The last time we visited the mall and aquarium 10 years ago, it was known as COEX Mall. The mall has since seen a facelift, fitted with state-of-the-art gigantic 3D digital display and home to the famous Starfield Library. The moment we arrived, the Hubby spotted Who.A.U., where the Eldest Girl excitedly bought a winter jacket, sweater and winter boots ..read more

We woke up and got ready to leave our hotel for another beautiful day of exploring! I couldn't help but to take a photo of the view from the other side of the hotel while we waited for the lift. We took the train from Myeongdong Station to Anguk Station, where we wanted to have brunch at one of the famous cafes in the area. During my preparation for the trip, I found that Onion cafe was the most popular in the area and as expected, the queue was very long! ? We didn't want to wait in the cold for hours and decided to continue along the street. We came across Open One Bakery Cafe&n ..read more

We woke up to clear skies again this morning and I couldn't help but snap pictures of the view from our room window! We could sleep in because I had intentionally planned a slower day, since we did a lot more travelling the day before.  We had breakfast at Paris Baguette because my mum has been craving it since we arrived in Seoul! Paris Baguette is so expensive in Singapore so we made sure to eat everything we felt like eating! *laughs* After a good breakfast, we headed to Myeongdong's 12-storey Daiso to finally get our Daiso shopping fix! It was 12 floor of products that wer ..read more

We woke up at 6.15am to get ready for the day tour we had booked via Klook (cost S$71 per adult, S$69.80 per child 3-11 years old). A WhatsApp group chat was set up the day before by tour operator, SA Tours, to share information and communicate with tour participants. Our tour guide, CK, also introduced himself and gave clear instructions on the meeting time and venue. I knew that the meeting point would be Yejang Bus Terminal even before booking the tour and intentionally chose to stay at Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel due to its close proximity to the meeting point. It was only a 10-minute wa ..read more

It was another beautiful morning for a day at the theme park! This theme park fan was obviously excited! ? We had bread and cup noodles for breakfast in our room before heading to Lotte World Adventure! As mentioned, we bought our tickets from Lotte Hotel World at a discounted rate of 32k won per person (adult/child) for hotel guests only. It was cheaper than Klook! Our tickets also allowed us to have special access to Lotte World via Wonder Door and comes with one time re-entry to the park (no other tickets allow re-entry)!  I love that we didn't have to queue with everyone ..read more

We woke up to clear skies this morning and enjoyed the beautiful view of the sea from our room. As our room package included breakfast for 4 adults, we took the glass lifts down to the restaurant. We had to pay extra for my Boy but I can't remember the exact price (should be about 15k won). The buffet line was simple but with enough variety to satisfy our family. It was such a blessing to be able to start the day with a full stomach! Food was good! We headed back to our rooms to pack and check out. After checking out, we waited for the hotel's complimentary shuttle bus to take us bac ..read more

We booked our flights to Seoul via Singapore Airlines in Jan 2023 and the tickets cost $746 per adult/child (inclusive of free seat selection). The hubby had booked a maxi cab at S$55 so that we can get to Terminal 3 comfortably. The kids were super excited for their most anticipated trip of the year! The hubby bought the Littlest Girl a Singapore Airlines cabin crew look-a-like kebaya! She looks so much like a mini SQ girl! Playdate at Kidztopia Jurong Point

I've been wanting to bring the littlest girls to check out Kidztopia Jurong Point and my opportunity came when their school was closed for a day in April. The Lee 'twins' were so excited! They started by pretending to be police officers and supermarket stall owners. Next, they played with 'sand' in the sandpit. They loved playing so much that they almost didn't want to eat their lunch, which was part of the promotional admission package we had bought. The food was not bad but the kids were more excited to go back to playing than they were about eating! The kids loved ..read more

USA Day 12-14: Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets & Return to Singapore

Day 12:  I woke up at 5am but managed to go back to sleep until 9am! After waking up before 6am the last couple of days, it was such a luxury to be able to sleep in! ? We could have spent the morning at Universal Orlando theme parks (our tickets gave us access for 5 consecutive days) but we decided it would have been an overkill! Instead, we took an Uber at 10am to Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets for a day of shopping! You really can't come all the way to America and not shop! Our first stop had to be Disney Warehouse, of course! We had to queue for about 30 minutes to get i ..read more
