Hi! Beth here! Thanks for visiting what used to be my blog. I won't go into a long list of reasons, but I have removed my blog and have decided to devote my time to creating my own beaded art, no longer blogging about what I make, or creating tutorials.   If you were redirected here looking for my patterns or tutorials, I am sorry but they are no longer available for sale or download, I am sure if you search for them somebody has made a youtube video or screenshotted them and reposted them elsewhere. If you were interested in any of my Cellini Spiral posts, please refer to the "Cel ..read more

I made a few more bangles and updated the temperature rope. It was hot here but not anything above the average like most of the rest of the country. I did use the 95+ bead color. Hopefully it will be a mild July (I can dream :) I have had a couple of questions about the beads that I use for my rope. They are Toho PF matte beads in size 11/0. I found them first at my local bead store and bought the rest online from an Etsy store. I searched Etsy for Toho PF Matte 11/0 beads and bought them from the shop that had the most colors :) I also experimented with my TRAW bangle from my last po ..read more

I beaded! I have been digging through my stash of beads and using some that I haven't used in over a decade! I have done a bunch of beading in the last few days.  I started by making a strung bracelet out of the Uranium glass beads that I love.  I thought without the glow of a blacklight shining on it that it was a little plain so I stitched a gold bead bracelet in 3 sided Prismatic Right Angle weave to go with it... the gold one then lead to me making a silver version too. That was not where my beading stopped. I took the 3 sided PRAW, which I like to call Triangular Right ..read more

I didn't do any beading that ended in a completed project during May but I did bead the temperature rope thru the end of May. It doesn't look at all like last year's rope. We had a hot 92 degree day but it was also in the 40's at night several times. This month's rope is a rainbow of colors. The temperature was all over the place. I didn't even have to turn my AC on until May 21st! It has been great and I don't miss the heat or rain like we had last year! I am really liking the way the Toho PF beads are working in this rope. They are nice beads that are really consistent in size and the col ..read more

The 2021 temperature rope is updated through April. It was in the mid 80's at one point and below freezing a couple of times. I won't complain since it hasn't been too hot yet and we have had a bunch of rain free days unlike last year! The temperature rope is the only thing I beaded in April! I have still been busy clearing out my house and listing things on Poshmark. I really didn't know how much stuff I actually had until I started digging :)  I will post again either at the beginning of June, or as soon as I bead again.  Happy Beading! ___________________________________ ..read more

I haven't beaded much lately as I have been busy with Poshmark major clearing out of my closets, and many boxes of stuff. I did manage to finish the temperature rope through March! It got to 83 and it was below freezing at one point! The only other beading I have done since I posted last time was I made myself 2 Uranium glass beaded lampshades. I really enjoyed the shade making although it took much longer than I expected it to. Then I had to make another :) I have a few beady ideas but nothing started at the moment. I have been preoccupied with clearing out my stuff and sending it off t ..read more

I haven't been beading much lately because I have been clearing out closets and boxes and listing things on Poshmark. I did manage to sit down long enough make a beaded bead. Yes it glows under blacklight :) It is made the same way as this bead that glows in the dark, similar to my Dodecarizo beaded bead pattern. The construction is the same, the beads used differ. I used Gemduos and 4mm firepolished in these instead of Superduos and Rizos. It is also the same as this one, that I see at Christmastime as I made it into an ornament. I did enjoy the beaded bead beading. I will defin ..read more

Temperature rope update! I finished this year's rope thru February. It was typical winter weather until recently where we hit the 70's! I haven't been beading much lately because I have been clearing out my closets and listing the stuff on Poshmark. Why is this relevant to my beady blog readers? Because of course there are beads, bead strands, and bead magazines in my closet too. With more to come :) If you want to check out my Poshmark closet @thunderclark . ______________________________________ *As always, please read my disclaimer: I am not affiliated with, paid by, or en ..read more

I have finished the project that I was working on! I made a square for the Museum of Beadwork's Beaded Square Project  I used beads that I already had in my collection to make this 6x6 embroidered square. It is mounted onto a wood panel that I painted a purple color to match. I am grateful that this piece is going to be on display with the art of many other beaders and that these beads will get to be seen and their beauty enjoyed :) I will be back with another post soon, it has been warm and cold here and I have a temperature rope to update!  _____________________________________ ..read more

Happy Groundhog Day! The 2021 temperature rope is done thru January. It didn't get above 60 or below 20 so I would say it was normal for winter. We didn't get awful amounts of rain and we didn't get snow unless you count the few minutes that it flurried. On to February! I also made a bangle bracelet this week. I felt like making another black light glowing bracelet and had a desire for something fun and beachy. I accomplished it in one bangle! :) I am currently working on another project so expect more blog posts in February! Happy Beading!  __________________________________________ ..read more
