I'm coming at ya with a neutral and universally flattering look. To be honest, I wore this outfit back in August,  but it definitely still holds up in early October — weather pending! Today, I'd pair it with brown (or black) lace-up combat boots and a leather crossbody.  My sister shot all of these photos during a summer day of adventuring with our dad. We drove to Freeport, IL and explored the small towns and rural roads along the way. Part of our mission was to complete The Goodwill IG Challenge.  The day before, I had gone to Goodwill with my mom and picked up a few rand ..read more

It's been a while! I took a break from blogging this summer and spent lots of time relaxing with my family. I'm slowly but surely making my way back into the blogsphere. To be honest, I've been concentrating more on Instagram lately and stretching myself creatively. I'm not sure how much longer this type of blog setup will continue to serve me, but it's something I've been trying to figure out. My sister and I shot together all summer long, and these are some photos we took in Fairbury, IL at the end of June. I wanted to tell a story with this look and I think the train tracks served as ..read more

WFH Chic // Monochrome White + Blazer

Comfort is key when you're at home. Working or not, you want to feel at ease, but — especially in these times — NOT sloppy. And when you've got a Zoom call or an important video chat? You want to go the extra mile without looking like you tried too hard. The solution? Just add a blazer.  Indoors or outdoors, monochrome is a timeless trend. And on a video chat, it's best to err on the simple side rather than donning something too loud or print-heavy. A classic white tee will always look chic. For further elevation, throw on a blazer and layer a few gold necklaces. Although your sh ..read more

Wild Card // Leopard Midi Dress + Trench Coat

Spring is a wild card. With chilly, frosted mornings and warm, sun-soaked afternoons, dressing can be tricky to say the least. You never know what you're going to get, which means layers are key. So is an effortless look that'll take you from day to night — preferably with leather and animal print ;) This leopard midi dress is a current favorite of mine and has been since fall. Now that it's not freezing outside, I've been able to dust it off and try my hand at styling it in new ways. Here, I've layered it over a mock neck bodysuit and under a chic trench coat. Pointed-toe booties with an ..read more

I don't care what anyone says, a leopard coat is a winter staple! It's elevated, impactful, and better yet, versatile. I throw mine on whenever my chilly-weather looks need a little more zhush — and you better believe it delivers every time ;) Chic, modern accessories help take this outfit to the next level. Even something as simple as a pant silhouette can bring your look to new heights. The pants I'm wearing here feature an updated wide leg with a flattering ankle crop, which I love. Throw a sleek bucket bag, pointed booties, and a tortoise shell bar clip into the mix, and this outfit is ..read more

Feel the Love // Pink + Red Valentine's Day Dress

Pink and red are quintessential Valentine’s Day colors. Put them together, in one dress, and you’ve got a classic date night outfit worthy of VDay and beyond. It may be cliche, but it’s also one heck of a bold choice — in the best way! Pink and red are loud enough on their own - especially in a luxe fabric like satin. To ground my look, I added the blackest of black accessories. My headband, matching heels, and cheeky crossbody ensure this look is wearable no matter where you’re heading. ...Hello wedding season! I’ve been super into pants lately but there was just something about this ..read more

You hear it all the time in the fashion sphere — people talking about how they "can't pull off" a certain look or trend. Leather pants and metallic boots may seem like bold, risky choices, but really it's all about attitude. Henry Ford articulated it best when he said, "Whether you think you can, or you think you can't – you're right.” When you feel confident, you look confident — and that, my friends, is what makes ALL the difference. Two words: OWN. IT. Leather-effect pants are having a major moment and I cannot get enough of their sleek and edgy aesthetic. My sister was making fun of m ..read more

Power Stance // Black (Faux) Leather + Sheer Tights

A power outfit can take many forms. Sometimes it’s a killer jumpsuit that flatters every curve. Other times, it may be a monochrome suit that not only makes your eyes pop, but looks fierce in a boardroom. If you’re unsure how to find yours, something involving leather is usually a pretty good place to start. No matter the occasion, a power outfit will make you feel unstoppable, confident, and fabulous. When dreaming up new looks for myself, I have the same goals in mind, but this outfit hit the nail especially on the head.  A leather mini skirt is inherently sexy, already making it a ..read more

Metallic Lavender // Cropped Puffer Coat + Ankle Pants

Introducing a combo so unexpected it might just work! As I wrote about in my last post, my 2020 style goal is to color outside the lines. I wouldn't normally think to pair my super-springy lavender pants with a silver snow puffer, but once I accepted the challenge and styled it out, I was pleasantly surprised by the look's dreamy yet sporty vibe.  Pastels are sweet, charming, and playful. Meanwhile, metallics are sharp, modern, and sleek. Together, they create a refreshing aesthetic that, here, I polished off with casual sneakers and a laid-back beanie. Perfect for weekending, restaurant-g ..read more

I couldn’t help but start 2020 off with a stylish & bold BANG. I’ve already decided that this year - no, this DECADE - I’m going to take more fashion risks. I want to step out of my comfort zone and explore my personal style from all angles. I’m excited to share my journey with you, and to start, I styled a statement look that’s part sexy, part sophisticated, and 100% daring.  Sheer is here and it’s staying. But while see-through pieces can most definitely feel intimidating — I actually surprised myself when I bought this top — they truly don’t have to be.  There’s so many ways to ..read more
