Downtown Stillwater has such beauty to it. The old buildings, the lift bridge, the river, they’re all gorgeous. It’s no surprise that the spot attracts so many weddings, and I am ecstatic every time I am invited to cover a wedding in Stillwater. Kevin and Jeanette met while in the University of Minnesota marching band, as a trumpet player and color guard member, respectively. These two first bonded over their shared love of Harry Potter. Fast forward to Kevin proposing to Jeanette six years later in front of Hogwart’s Castle in Orlando, FL. This initial point of connection was visible on their wedding day, with Harry Potter references popping up in their wedding accessories, reception decor, and photobooth props. Shikha and Aman’s two-day wedding was such a joyful couple of days full of dancing, laughter, and love.  Their first evening was spent at the Minneapolis Marriott West, and despite it drizzling outside, it was bright inside. The evening’s cheery and colorful program, full of performances by family and friends, was the perfect lead into day two of celebrations. I met up with Heith, Barbara, and their two kiddos at Seventh Farm Horse Riding School for some fall time family photos. We’ve been lucky enough to have what feels like an endless fall in Minnesota this year, and it’s great to take advantage of the snowless landscape. We had a blast wandering all over the farm, hanging out with the horses, and even adopting a couple of barn cats for the day!  Moments of joy like this are so precious, especially right now, and it’s always a delight to share them. This fall has been jam-packed with family time. Not to sound like a broken record, but every year that we see a Brovado family grows feels so special. It has been so much fun seeing Nellie as she gets older, it feels like just yesterday that we were taking these sweet at-home photos when she was a newborn!  We chose such a picturesque fall day to stroll through St. Anthony Main and across the Stone Arch Bridge with April, Mike, and Nellie. We toured many of the University of Minnesota’s landmarks, even through a brief sprinkling of rain.
