What would be the best controller to use when working with design programs? Every app has its way to move around the screen and enviroment, there have been special controllers made for this in the past, but what modern controller would make working as easy as moving in a videogame?

Pantone Digital Accuracy

This post is for those occasions when I'm traveling, working remotely, and I need to confirm Pantone codes for a branding project. I had usually been using the Color Libraries from Adobe Photoshop (Solid Coated and Uncoated): https://preview.redd.it/l3ma88tlfxqc1.png?width=1043&format=png&auto=webp&s=0ddd96563174b5ad660869287afc269dd07e1fda Sometimes I use an official (but discontinued) Pantone tool called Pantone Color Manager. Both seem to work perfectly, but codes don't match. The variation is very minimal, but for a picky designer like me there's some difference in ton ..read more

Can’t get over my fear of making a design portfolio to start applying to jobs

I was laid off in May of 2023 and I have not been able to pick myself back up again since to look / apply for a job. The layoff shattered most of my confidence working in design because I felt like I was doing so much as the only UI/UX designer at the company and adding value (I should have noticed the red flags). My manager didn’t know anything about design + didn’t set me up for success as I constantly had to ask for feedback and I was left in the dark before my position was eliminated. Made the mistake of not saving most of my work and now have little to nothing to show on my portfolio. Th ..read more

I'm looking for a program that allowed me to do logo-to-text transitions (animations). This was in 2019 or 2020 or so and it was available on Mac. Does anyone maybe recognize it? I'd be really happy about any sort of help. submitted by /u/SwishJus [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hi all - Pantone amateur here. I am trying to match an RGB of 255,255,241 but after going to my local library to try and find a similar Pantone color from there set I’m realizing that a light of shades of light colors are not represented. Am I crazy? Any ideas on what I’m doing wrong here? The closest I can find is 7499C (looking for coated for a bottle label). Any help is greatly appreciated. submitted by /u/ZZ_Top51 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
