If you ever have a spot that’s stinky and need a quick fix, one of my favorite solutions is to put a couple drops of essential oil on a cotton ball or cotton pad, let it dry, and tuck it into that spot.
If you have small kids or pets, make sure that the cotton pad or ball isn’t accessible to them.
Essential Oils
Where would this work?

vacuum cleaner bag or canister
stuffy closet
stinky shoes
gym bag
smelly car – put it under the seat
under furniture or under a cushion
garbage bin
diaper pail
Do you have a stinky space that this would work in? Tell us in the comments! Che ..read more

Clean floors and the best mops to get them clean? Here are my four favorites that work on different types of floors, are all multi-purpose, and at available at different price points. Choose one, two, or all four – you can’t go wrong with these mops!
I’ve tried and tested so many mops over the years but these four are the ones that are in my cleaning closet and the ones that I use on a weekly basis. If you are looking for a new mop, I’d choose between the first 3 and then if you want a deep cleaning steam cleaner that can also steam clean floors, add the Dupray to your ‘collection’.

Do you feel like you are stuck in a clutter spiral? You declutter one area only to discover another area that is cluttered. You declutter that area and then the area that you decluttered first is now cluttered again. Why does this happen and what can you do to stop the spiral?
We tend to be reactive with our clutter. When things get overwhelming or busy, we let them clutter up. When we can’t stand the piles anymore we get frustrated and either look past them, keep piling, stuff the stuff somewhere else, or clean them up.
Do you set goals to declutter or start challenges but can’t complete th ..read more

As we make our way into summer, I get a lot of questions about HOW to include kids in cleaning and decluttering. I love to include my kids in cleaning – not only does it teach responsibility but teaches them great life skills. The best place to start? Teach your kids HOW to clean their bedroom. I know from my own kids that it can be difficult to know just the right way to teach these skills without feeling like I’m nagging all the time and for the kids to feel like they’re contributing to the family. The goal for us is to instill a good work ethic, teach HOW to clean, and feel the satisfaction ..read more
