i’ll give you guys the scoop, i graduated trade school for hvac last year and got my 608 universal. where i currently work at has nothing to do with hvac but through connections i was able to get a helper position and help out a few days out the week while continuing my other job.
i was hoping to get into the helper position full time but unfortunately due to them having certain rules it’s looking like more of a waiting game. i looked into the union, however transportation is my only set back with taking that route and now i’m trying to weigh out the options. i know breaking into the trade is ..read more

AC unit has been making this clicking sound multiple times a day with the fan off.
Went ahead and pulled the copper piece at the instruction of another tech that’d came by to see if it stopped the sound but, it did not.

I have been scouring the internet and asked my sales rep and tech support for Carrier through my dealer if the Infinity zone damper motor would be able to replace an existing Honeywell zone damper motor without removing the entire slip in damper, but I am coming up short on all fronts.
I figured I would reach out here to see if anyone might have information on this specific question or first hand experience. I would assume they are not going to be compatible, but I do not want to assume too quickly.

Hey how do you guys beat the heat when working on rooftops.
I will go up there and just get cooked, tried uv sleeves, umbrellas and tents.
When it comes to the weekend I would love to go out but going out in the sun just brings me dread.

Anyone know of a good hat that can cover my face for working on rooftops?
I need something that won’t melt to my face in case of arc flash.

A lot of companies add a float switch as part of the installation. Some even add a surge protector. What does your company do as part of a standard installation, that's usually an additional option when you're trying to sell something to a residential customer?
