20 April, 2023 Today marks 10 years since Connor physically left us. 10 years-sigh. It feels like 10 minutes and 1000 years and everything in between. Children’s brain cancer biobank gives hope for the future

The Robert Connor Dawes Foundation are proud to announce that we are co-funding South Australia’s first biobank. 16 year old Adam is the first patient in the world to trial a new brain cancer treatment. This world-first cancer treatment trial, tackling a rare and debilitating paediatric brain tumour commenced at the Perth Children’s Hospital. Adam will be joined by more than 30 other children across the world to trial a treatment for Adamantinomatous Craniopharyngioma (ACP) over the next two years. We enjoyed Community Day at Sandringham Little Athletics on Saturday.  It was great to have our major partner Coles and their ambassador, 2 x World Champion and Olympic Bronze medalist, Kelsey-Lee Barber there alongside us. Coles BrainHeart: $419,000 raised for kids with brain cancer

We had the great honour of accepting a massive $419,431 cheque from Coles, raised last month during the BrainHeart Campaign. The campaign ran in all 220 Victorian Coles stores, and online from August 31-September 20, 2022. Through the sale of Sock it to Brain Cancer socks, $2 BrainHeart cards, and select Coles cookies, the funds were raised thanks to the support of dedicated staff, and big-hearted shoppers.
