This was a fun little print. The models came out looking great. This is a finish that is not easy to replicate using other methods. The colours are fused to each other in a way that feels much better than say injection moulding then gluing. It doesn’t look painted, which I really like. But. OMG filament changes are slow, roughly 2x the layer time, so printing 3 penguins is not significantly different from printing 1. Wipe towers are expensive: roughly half of the plastic used was in the wipe tower. Cardboard spools are the devil. I’ll need to switch to a spindle rather than rollers if I’m ..read more
