Hoping to get some advice on what to do. My grandparents found what looks like a miniature pig to me. I don't believe he's feral - not a whole lot of feral pigs where I live (middle TN). He's very friendly towards humans. But he is wounded badly, perhaps hit by a car. Deep wounds on either side of his shoulders, definitely infected with a lot of maggots. We've been treating with hydrogen peroxide, and my partner is going to get some livestock iodine treatment spray as I'm typing this.. my gfs dad has had 2 pet pigs that had their own comfortable living space, a backyard to run around and sunbathe in. this past christmas one of the pigs drowned in the backyard pool after falling in and not being able to get out (something that hadn’t been an issue for the past 3 years of owning them). since then, the other pig named Puah honestly opened up a lot more and was behaving better than when her sister was around but as of recently, she’s been having lots of issues and has stopped eating and drinking entirely. The reason I am here today is because my (about) six month old pig, I’d say, is having some problems again(Wilbur) A few months ago he had his first ”dippity pig” attack and it lasted maybe a few days and he hasn’t had one since Well, starting yesterday afternoon, I noticed him laying down, and since I’ve already went through this with him before, I started to realize what was going on again pretty quick. These are my pigs carnitas and buche. I was told carnitas (right) is about 8 years old and a vietnamese x julian(?) mix. I was told Buche is a mini pig _ and he's about a year and some change. Im semi-new to pigs, as l've had carnitas for two years and buche for one. They both have been lovely pigs, and laze around my little farm daily.
