Too wet and warm to think about Christmas? Well.. It's nearly here! Come along to The Flower Hive's workshop to learn how to make a wreath with natural and fully biodegradable materials. We will start by 'diving' straight into the straw so that you can create your own straw base. It looks difficult but so many people who came to previous workshops found it fairly easy. ​I was recently approached by Bryngawr Country Park in Bridgend to create a workshop which could run in their beautiful grounds and take advantage of the natural surroundings.  We came up with the idea of a “Foraged” Christmas wreath.   Those taking part would walk around the woodland and forage for beautiful botanical material. Great review from talented Jakki who did the photo-documentary of the  Campanula Medium Workshop. ​Following an invite by Eva to take a part in the Flower Hive Paper Flower Workshop, I turned up in good time, full of excitement and anticipation.    The Venue was perfect, being held at Dear Doris in Penarth, a quaint little gift shop but with enough space for us comfortably to run the workshop.   The main table was beautifully laid out with a selection of wonderful paper flowers showing the end results.
