I’m trying to take leave for Puerto Rico this summer and my chain of command is saying I need to go to S-2 for clearance, I thought since PR is a territory it wasn’t necessary?

Good Afternoon Everyone! I hope you all have a great weekend!
Just a reminder, the army is your career, not your life. Professionalism in the uniform is just that. When you are in your civilians you are you.
I have made it a point for my joes that I would never address them by their rank but their name outside of the base or military activity. Life is more than the military. Eventually we all leave either by retirement, ETS or medical. We will all have to find something else we like to do in the civilian world someday regardless how much of the coolaid you drink or have a IV hooked up to you ..read more

Completely understand communities like sof and certain programs do and should have people without issues, but sometimes a person “without any issues” is worse than a person actively seeking to better themselves. This alone might be the sole reason of getting out of the military, personally. It’s the stigmatic ‘everyone’s fine because there’s no mh history but if anyone reaches out to get help they’re flagged as NoN dEpLoYaBlE then lose the ability to go to other programs.’ Much like when all the vehicle reports get urged to be green when in fact they’re all still shitty nam vehicles then the ..read more

Back in early 2019, I was arrested on Fort Campbell and went to court and spoke to the prosecutor a few months later who told me at that point he was going to dismiss the charges and I was good to go. Called and they have no records of the dismissal even though I need them. What are some resources or things I can do to possibly get this? Thanks.

Cadidiot here, just recieved news that all of III Corps is cancelling their CTLT slots. The guidance we recieved was that all the slots were cancelled, because they are cutting anything not mission essential.
What's that supposed to mean? III Corps bout to do some wild stuff??

I ETSd 20 yrs ago help a fat old man entertain the kiddo. All I can come up with so far is Land Nav. Her brother is too young to do drill. Public land so BRM is out. No foxhole digging.
I could make her put chocks and a drip pan under the Honda...

My wife and I have a six month old and, whenever he gets bloated, we hit him with the old on the back, rock side to side, leg lift and press into stomach maneuver.
I have been disgustedly bloated myself the last couple of days and incredibly gassy. Instead of jumping straight into laxatives I, in the comfort of my own home after pt, decided to hit the technique before hoping in the shower.
Pro, no longer bloated. Con, I shit myself on a bathroom floor five feet away from a toilet.

Note: I am not suicidal.
I'm trapped working for a person who makes my life hell. I feel physically ill every time I go into work. I'm not looking for sympathy or to make myself look like an angel. All I'm saying is, I can't just quit like in the civilian world. I'm legally obligated to remain here until the Army says I can leave.
Again, I'm not suicidal in any way. I'm just finally realizing why some people turn to it. There's no escape in sight.
