Hello everyone, I’m currently working full-time in the USA under OPT and am planning for my mom and sister to visit me from our home country on a B2 tourist visa. They are considering staying for a few months, possibly up to the full six months allowed under their visa. The primary reasons for their visit are to help and support me during my upcoming knee surgery, and also for them to spend some quality time with me. I’m concerned about ensuring their entry into the U.S. goes smoothly without any issues at immigration. Here are some specifics and concerns: • Duration of Stay: We are consider ..read more

Unexpectedly had to leave country. Do I need to "cancel" my visa? I am worried that they will think I'm avoiding tax. Because I won't declare any money

Maybe this is a stupid question. As the title says. I have an EU visa in France. Unfortunately, for reasons out of my control, I have had to move back to my home country. I want to move back into an EU country in a year's time and I'm worried I could be denied if they see I haven't paid tax. This is because I worked cash in hand in France and had to declare my money. If they see I've not been declaring anything will they think I'm avoiding tax? submitted by /u/flakkane [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hello. I applied for a visa to the US in 2022 and I'm still wondering what made me get it for 10 years. I opened a visa in Berlin Germany, for the competition in Boston, the competition was 2 weeks. And I am still wondering why I was given a visa for 10 years. My guess is because of my age (I was 16). Maybe someone has an opinion on this submitted by /u/HY4EKS [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

My husband(British and French dual nationality) and I (Chinese passport)got married in the Uk and has a Uk marriage certificate. I have applied for the Eu spouse visa and have plans to go to Spain in May. They accepted my application but warned me that I should get French official to legalise the marriage certificate. Otherwise I will get fined or something. We are planning to go to London in May as well, could drop off to visit the French embassy and get it done but just wondering if we need to do it before they assessed the visa application or just before next visa application? I went through Marble.co. They had plans and I thought they were respectable. My lawyer said she had all the information to submit for my I-130. The lawyer I sent all my info to said I had to pay through marble.co. Marble.co said I have to pay through my lawyer. She said she has no way to process the I-130 fee. submitted by /u/InquiringMindsToday [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hello, I am looking at emigrating to South America, and I was wondering how some of these visas gor long term, for this focus Ecuadors, work. So to my understanding, buying a property in an urban area of Brazil for some $200k is a pathway to visaship, however in Ecuador "real estate investment" is only about $46k, however the key difference being investment. Does this prevent use of using it as a house, would it have to be rented, etc. Thank you very much. Edit: Forgot to say, looking to move from UK. submitted by /u/Forward-Contact6145 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hello all! I am a USA citizen and my fiancé is a French citizen. We were approved on our I-129f 02-06-2024 and it’s been over 70 days now. We have contacted the NVC which stated they had our document, sent us a case number, our invoice I.D. Number as well. My lawyer has messaged the French embassy and they stated they haven’t received our document yet (1 month ago) and today I got an email stating it’s been over 60 days and some bs about how some embassies are going to resume processing or whatever. Basically sent me a email about how they haven’t done the work yet. Has anyone experienced thi ..read more

I am a Canadian citizen currently pregnant with an American citizens baby-I will be getting dual citizenship (I believe that’s just granted from the Canadian govt once the visa/green card is received). From my understanding, I can apply for a family based visa or a spousal visa. The problem is we aren’t married and don’t really want to until after the baby is born. With moving and a new baby we don’t want to add that little bit of extra stress/planning. Does anyone have advice on how to go about this? I sent an email to an immigration representative after waiting on hold forever. Just wanting ..read more
