I am 30 (f) and in the middle of a career. I have never liked my first or last name. My first name is Mary-Thérèse. It sounds very posh and Christian, both of which I am absolutely not. My father is from the Netherlands, and our Dutch last name is hard to pronounce even for Dutch speakers.
