According to the State of Wisconsin, concealed carry permits from Delaware, DC and Rhode Island are now honored and residents of those states may carry legally within the boundaries of Wisconsin if they already have a CCW permit from their home state. The homeowner told police he had been awakened in the night after hearing noises coming from a bedroom where a man had climbed through a window and turned on a light. The homeowner opened fire on the intruder, wounding him twice, once on the right thigh and another time on the suspects right upper arm. Until recently, New Mexico and Louisiana honored each other’s concealed carry permits. That has now changed. Now, residents of New Mexico will no longer be allowed to carry concealed in the state of Louisiana, and vice versa. As of yesterday, the LA state government sites shows the updated lists of what state permits are honored and which are not. This brings the number of states which honor the Louisiana CCW permit down from 38, to 37. A Louisiana woman was arrested for shooting a llama in self-defense in February. 67-year-old Madeline Bourgeois told St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s deputies that her pet llama “Earl” had attacked her while she worked in the pasture. She attempted to fend off the animal (which can grow to between 290 and 440 lbs.) with strikes but the animal would not give up the attack. After she finally escaped, Bourgeois went back to her home and returned with a gun.
