I’m not sure why I never thought about building a Christmas Theater for a winter village MOC but I’m so glad somebody else did! One of my favorite things to do is to see how others rebrick official LEGO builds. I do favor it when builders rebuild one that is not winter themed, but it’s just as fun to see how much more Christmasy someone can make a build. For example, remember the LEGO Ice Skating Rink (40416)? I mean, this is pretty darn perfect the way it is. Mr. Family Brick and I talked endlessly on how to add power functions to the turn mechanism at regular intervals. Happy New Year! Yesterday morning, we got up and made our way to the LEGO store, as is our custom. We picked up the LEGO Natural History Museum (10326) and several of the LEGO Minifigures Series 25 minifigures. With that, we got to walk away with the LEGO Retro Food Truck (40681) gift with purchase. We also spent some time with friends, which is always nice. (Say hi to Old Gray Bricks & troublesbricking!) When it comes to BrickHeadz—yes, even the enchanting LEGO Christmas BrickHeadz—our household stands divided. I won’t go as far as claiming they’re my absolute favorites, but Mr. Family Brick? Well, he’s a hard pass. Believe me, even when LEGO crafted the Boba Fett BrickHeadz build, his interest was nowhere to be found! Yep, it’s that serious. Two years ago, I decided I would record a Winter Village time lapse video while we set up for Atlanta Brick Con 2021. I’ve never done a time lapse video, so this was definitely a new thing for me.
