In the late 80s I entered a LEGO competition and was lucky to win a prize: the Caribbean Clipper. 30 years later my boys built it again (back then 3 and 4) very happy to share my childhood excitement with them

The kind of competition that you had to send in a real picture to the LEGO Group via actual mail. Haha good old days ? submitted by /u/Isibricks [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

My wife’s Lego dogs

I grew up with Lego and introduced my wife to them when we started dated almost a decade ago. She adores dogs so whenever I come across a new one I’ll pick it up and “hide” it in one of the sets around the house. It’s a fun game for both us. If she’s having a really bad day sometimes I will give her a hint as to where one might be hidden to try and cheer her up. Sometimes it takes a few weeks for her to notice one which makes it even more fun because I’ll occasionally forget that there are still dogs around the house that haven’t been found. submitted by /u/Frantic_Fanatic13 [visit redd ..read more

Finished Rivendell, it's so beautiful ?

I just finished building Rivendell ? it's definitely my favourite set I've built so far. So pretty and detailed and I really enjoyed the build. There were so many different techniques so not repetitive. Even putting the tiles on the roof wasn't too bad ?, very satisfying lining them all up at the end. 10 out of 10 for me ?? submitted by /u/banana_cookies22 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
