i’m confident I will never ever sleep again. I’m three weeks in. I’ve never been this tired in my entire life. Holy shit. I know that it’ll round out and I’ll also come back and make more meaningful posts and ask questions because I have lots but for now, all I can say is, wow. submitted by /u/zaahiraa [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

4 month old screams very loudly
Reddit - Newborn Baby

My fussy 4 month old used to be a better sleeper to the point of 6-7 hours for the first stretch - until the last couple of weeks which I attributed to 4 month sleep regression. I am concerned it's more than just normal 4 month sleep regression. Because now, he wakes up every two hours. When he is up during the day, he will play for a few minutes in his fisher price gym and then will start screaming. Not crying, but screaming. We think he is just wanting attention but not sure, because he doesn't stop screaming when we pick him up. Feeding him is also not easy. We have to constantly distract ..read more

Lump on baby’s forehead area - help decipher Dr’s notes!

Any medical professionals able to decipher these notes for us? It’s after 5pm now so we can’t speak to our Dr until next week. We took him for an ultrasound today and our pediatrician just informed us he’ll need an MRI next. Our baby is 3 months old and has a noticeable, hard lump on his temple. Dr’s notes: Soft tissues: At the finding of the palpable abnormality in the right temporal, within the outer table of the calvarium there is a thick-walled rounded structure with internal anechoic fluid which measures approximately 0.7 x 0.5 x 0.3 cm, and without internal vascularity. No sleep

My little one is 5 days old and partner and I are struggling. I exclusively breastfeed, milk has just come in and baby wants to feed about every hour. Seems to then just only be on the breast for 5 minutes before falling asleep on the breast. He doesn't want to be put down, only sleeps when held/contact napping so either me or my partner has to be awake when he is. I've had literally no sleep - me and partner try to do shifts but the shifts are an hour each because I obviously have to breastfeed. I sometimes do a double shift so my partner gets a little extra but even when I'm supposed to be ..read more

Any mommas out there have more pointers for me. I have to pump exclusively. Here is what I've done to increase myself from a couple ounces to about 20oz a day...ideally I would like to double this so I don't have to give my 7 week old any formula. -pumping every 2.5-3 hours -lactation cookies for breakfast -boobie bar for snack in afternoon -supplement: pump princess 3 x a day -drinking mothers milk tea in AM I recently added in eating oatmeal...any other recommendations y'all got for me? I don’t think I have a chill baby

Do people have babies under 2 months that will just chill? I feel like if mine isn’t eating or sleeping, he won’t just sit and chill. Trying not to overly stimulate him but also not really sure what he wants or needs if he’s fed, changed, and burped? I hold him a lot and do a decent amount of baby wearing, but wondering if there’s a magic age where he’ll want to just sit and chill in his bouncer? submitted by /u/SparkleShine52 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

First time mom here I just have a quick question... My five week old newborn gets the hiccups occasionally and when I go to burp him to help get rid of them he will start his back and kind of throw his head back. Is there anything I can do to help him in a different way? submitted by /u/TomatoSoupSippa [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Has anyone done formula all day, BF at night?

I’m drained and thinking about tapping out. My 6 week old has been nursing great since day one. We do occasional bottles of formula or breastmilk, but majority of the time it’s straight from the tap. I’m touched out and feel exposed from having my boob out all the time. I’m considering breastfeeding at bedtime and for night feedings and doing formula throughout the day. I do not want to pump. Has anyone else done this combo feeding schedule? submitted by /u/Ill-Witness-4729 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

My now 5 week old son has been doing great with breastfeeding until now . A little history , I have two children my first baby could not latch and I had to pump and supplement feed and it absolutely broke my heart . I did everything i could to latch her and nothing worked . Eventually I just came to terms with the fact that she would never latch and just let the dream of breastfeeding go. Now this second baby I did not have high expectations since I did not want to be disappointed again and stress myself over trying to breastfeed . However , to my surprise my son actually latched instantly af ..read more

At what point did your LO know that kisses = affection?

My LO just started smiling and it’s the most heart melting thing!! She reacts to my voice and the intonation of things I say, even songs I sing and it’s so wonderful. I love to shower her with kisses … but I don’t think she understands what they mean yet. When did your LO start recognizing kisses = affection? submitted by /u/Amazing_Grace5784 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
