Shibuya Song runs today at Stratford in the maiden hurdle at 4.40pm with Finn Lambert onboard.  She improved for the better ground on her last run at the track, jumping more fluently than she did on a softer surface.  Hopefully she will come on again today for that outing and we look forward to her taking advantage of the better going this summer. Ned Cash is declared at Warwick on Saturday evening in the National Hunt maiden hurdle run at 6.05pm.  He has always shown promise at home but pulled too hard on his hurdling debut recently and will wear a hood on Saturday.  Brend ..read more

Two runners at Warwick today with The Last Drop (pictured) and Elfride.  The Last Drop makes her hurdling debut in the mares maiden hurdle at 3.50pm with Finn Lambert onboard.  She ran well in a bumper at Southwell for us on her last outing and appears to jump well at home.  We look forward to continuing her education in what looks a hot contest for The Littles. It is a year to the day since Elfride won for us at Uttoxeter and hopefully she will put up another good show in the three miles one furlong handicap hurdle run at 6.05pm.  She ran with credit last time out at Cheps ..read more

Lesser is declared at Uttoxeter tomorrow in the two and a half mile handicap chase.  This will be his chasing debut and hopefully the ground won’t be too soft for him.  Finn Lambert takes the ride claiming three pounds.  Although Lesser is a long-striding type, he is a good jumper and let’s hope he has a good experience in his first race over fences. We have plenty of entries for next week, some of them being ground dependant.  Hopefully there will be a bit of cut in the ground at Warwick on Monday but no cut in the ground at Fakenham on Tuesday as we have Organdi entered i ..read more

With the new season starting we have made entries for Lesser, Elfride and The Last Drop in the coming week.  Hopefully the ground will be safe without being too fast for the runners as many have not been suited by the heavy ground of last season. On Friday morning it was great to welcome Deni Harper-Adams from Kingsleighs Equestrian Centre who brought over a couple of young riders who have been funded by the Pony Racing Association Youth Jockey Pathway programme.  Both twelve-year-olds are due to ride at Cheltenham soon in a pony race and it was great to be able to show them the insi ..read more

Mattie Ross ran a very pleasing second at Uttoxeter yesterday.  Jumping and travelling well off a slow pace, she stayed on well in the straight giving the winner eight pounds.  Hopefully she will continue to give her patient owners plenty of fun and we look forward to her next outing. Rossbeigh Strand jumped well on the whole on his chasing debut at Southwell on Tuesday.  Finn Lambert was able to hold him up on this occasion and looked like getting into contention before unfortunately once again his old wind issue resurfaced. His owners have been extremely patient with him and h ..read more

Rossbeigh Strand makes his chase debut at Southwell today in the two and a half mile handicap run at 2.18pm with Finn Lambert onboard.  He has schooled well at home having always had the make and shape of a chaser.  We have been looking for better ground for him and hopefully it will ride on the good side as he has had wind issues in the past. Mattie Ross runs at Uttoxeter tomorrow in the 3.59pm – a three mile conditional jockeys handicap hurdle with Finn onboard.  Although we have been searching for better ground for her, this race looked the weakest of her options and we are k ..read more

Organdi ran a cracking race to be fourth yesterday in the three and a half mile handicap chase.  Looking magnificent in the paddock and winning ‘best turned out’ thanks to the efforts of Vicki Atkins – Organdi travelled and jumped well throughout the race and stayed on gamely up the Prestbury hill to give the Beautiful People a day to remember. She is clearly still enjoying her racing and loves good ground therefore we will look for another race for her in May when hopefully she can get her head in front once again.  Having won every year for the last six years, it would be great to ..read more

We have declared Organdi at Cheltenham on Wednesday in the three-and-a-half-mile handicap chase.  She will be carrying joint top weight therefore Finn Lambert will ride and take off three pounds.  Finn rode her on Boxing Day at Market Rasen and got on well with her.  Hopefully the ground will continue to dry out as she appears in good form at home. Elfride ran respectably considering she was out of the weights in the three mile handicap hurdle at Chepstow on Saturday.  Jumping well for Harry Atkins, she stayed on at one pace over the last two flights and I am sure she can b ..read more

We have declared Fighting Poet and Urban Champion at Southwell tomorrow evening.  Fighting Poet makes his debut for The Adlestrop Club and has been placed on the all weather for us in the past.  Kaiya Fraser who gets on well with him takes the ride and claims five pounds.  He appears in good form although as ever the opposition is pretty strong. Urban Champion ran well on his last appearance at the track and although once again this is a tricky contest, Clifford Lee takes the ride and hopefully he will build on his last run. Elfride has been declared in the mares handicap hurdle ..read more

We were pleased with The Last Drop’s run at Southwell on Thursday.  She settled well in behind the leaders off a pretty slow pace and it turned into a bit of a sprint from the home turn.  This did not suit her but she galloped on up the straight in game style to be beaten eight lengths by the winner in what looks to be a competitive event.  Finn Lambert reported that she was very genuine and would prefer some better ground.  We will now go hurdling with her and I am sure she will provide a lot of fun for The Littles. With Warwick being off, Elfride was unable to take u ..read more
