Love Reading: Double Checking an Interpretation

Context: Usually I use a Zen Osho deck or Oracle cards. I’m newer to Rider-Waite and haven’t gotten over the learning curve yet. I’d love a 2nd opinion on this love spread! My intuition is extremely positive about someone I’ve recently started to date, and I can tell it’ll lead to a relationship. Normally I don’t dive in so quickly, but I trust my intuition ya know? It’s hard to explain, but when you know, you know. Is there anything I’m misinterpreting or overlooking here? The Magician

(As always, keep in mind that this is my opinion and my opinion alone. I make no claims of being a perfect reader. The only claim I'm making right now is that I have some experience, and that the Magician loves to follow me for some reason. We chill? Awesome.) If the Magician shows up in reference to you in a reading, what it typically indicates is that you have too low of an estimation of your own abilities, and that you do in fact have the experience to succeed. Because truthfully, the Magician is the Fool, but after he fell down that cliff and got some life experience under his belt. This ..read more

Need second opinion on 3 card future husband/relationship spread

I have a three card spread to identify characteristics of my future husband just for fun and practice. During the process I kept thinking about a guy I dated earlier this year but now we are no longer in contact. However he does embody a lot of the characteristics I like in a partner and I felt the 3 card spread I picked up was very accurate. I would like to get a second opinion on this and if there are any shadow meanings to my situation. (For those that only read upright, would any of these indicate an opposite meaning of some sort?) First card was Lovers in reverse. I felt this meant there ..read more

i’m considering creating a deck or two, and i’m curious about others opinions on additional cards, like major arcana, additional court cards, and additional suits i have my own ideas but i’d like to know how other people feel too :) i think i have only one deck with additional suits (Bottanical, i have the optional expansion packs that are ace-10) but those don’t include court cards. some others i have might have one or two additional major arcana, or a double card but with different art (like two different lovers cards) submitted by /u/Heylola2 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Does anyone know of any traditional Rider-Waite Smith decks made on matte card-stock?

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows of any matte card-stock decks that feature the traditional imagery from the classic Rider-Waite Smith tarot? I am very big on the feel of a deck and I have been searching forever for a matte deck with a feel similar to the Wild Unknown tarot deck, but I haven’t come across any. I feel like I’m in a perpetual loop of buying decks online only to not enjoy the feel of the cards. Any recommendations are appreciated!! submitted by /u/Dear_Price7511 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

My cat ran out last night and she’s kind of older and doesn’t move as quickly as she used to. It was raining a little bit today and it’s almost been 24 hrs since I’ve seen her. I put out her litter box and a rug she peed on (??) with her food and water and she still hasn’t returned. I originally pulled three cards for the situation: Two of Wands Reversed 8 of Cups Reversed 6 of Swords Reversed Honestly, how I’m reading this is she wants to be alone for right now but will eventually come back. (Two of wands reversed = no collaboration, 8 of cups reversed = not moved on, 6 of swords reversed ..read more

Reversed Ten of Swords for the future

I've been quite anxious about the future lately, mostly regarding climate change and the ability to live a good life without falling into an abyss. I'm a graduating senior from college, so that definitely doesn't help. I asked about my general future and pulled reversed 9 of coins now , then the World, then reverse 10 of swords. My guide book (I have the tarot of the divine) says it means "surviving disaster, the inevitable, recovery, regeneration." Which in terms of the world crisis seems...idk fitting, If a bit daunting. For me I think it means that not all hope is lost, and that there will ..read more

4 of pentacles, 6 of swords, and hanged man for how someone views a group of people?

I asked how someone I know views a particular group of people using the Rider Waite deck and pulled the 4 of pentacles, 6 of swords, and the hanged man. The 4 of pentacles can represent holding on or being possessive while the the hanged man - on the opposite end of the reading - represents surrendering or a need to let go. With the 6 of swords - which can mean healing, relief, or overcoming obstacles - at the center of the reading and heading towards the hanged man, my guess is that she views this group as having a desire to let go of something (I’m not sure what). Maybe she views this group ..read more

hey y'all! i did a spread for the waxing crescent moon phase to help stimulate me through a period of personal growth that i'd like to feel control and guidance through. i utilized the one in the labyrinthos app with a physical reading, in a triangle formation. first three questions/cards are in the bottom row, next two are in the middle, and the final is at the top, for the outcome. here's how i journaled it out below: waxing crescent - planting seeds. question: "how can i become my best self?" your talents - what parts of yourself will be called upon to make your intentions manifest? what ..read more
