Eddie Mathews hit 512 home runs, 493 for the Braves 1952-1966. His career totals for the Braves are associated with the three character abbreviation ATL. However, his season team identifiers are:
1952 BSN
1953-1965 MLN
1966 ATL.
Since 1903 Eddie Mathews is the only player to play for the same team in three different cities. The Athletics is only other team to play in three cities:
Philadelphia 1903-1954
Kansas City 1955-1967
Oakland 1968-2019.
Reggie Jackson played his first 35 games for the the 1967 Kansas City Athletics; he hit one home run for them.

The careers of Willie Mays and Hank Aaron overlapped 1954-1973, so most of their many home runs were hit in those seasons:
Mays 636 of 660
Aaron 713 of 755.
Their teams would have played about 392 games. Mays and Aaron homered in the same game 13 times. In 9 of the 13 games each player hit one home run. Aaron out homered Mays once: 2-1. Mays out homered Aaron three times: 2-1 twice and 4-2 on April 30, 1961 in Milwaukee.
The first of the 13 games was June 22, 1954 at the Polo Grounds in New York. The Giants scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 9th to win 3-2. Mays hit number 21 in the second o ..read more

MLB owners and players, nobody cares about your MONEY issues. NOBODY.
The 2020 season will not have much legitimacy, so use it to experiment.
The pitching distance should be moved back three feet to the middle of the diamond and, of course, the ridiculous mound eliminated, but the pitchers would cry too much about the sudden change and perceived strain on their arms, so that's not being proposed. It can wait until 2021.
Start the count at 2-1. Cut to the chase. Force pitcher and batter to complete the plate appearance quickly.
8 batters! Forget designated hitter (DH) altogether. In recent ..read more

17 of the 425 players to hit at least three home runs in a game 1904-2019 hit 6 or fewer in that season. One player hit only those three homers.
Cnt: Count of the number of 3 homer games
HRmax: most season home runs in a season with a 3 homer game
HRmin: fewest season home runs in a season with a 3 homer game
Sorted on HRmin ascending, then Year1 ascending. The Year1 is arbitrary and may not be for the HRmin year but it puts the records in something better than random order.

Freddie Patek is both the shortest and lightest of the 425 players to hit at least 3 home runs in a game. Below is a table with the 17 players shorter than 5'10": no taller than 69 inches. They are sorted in ascending order by height and weight. Only George Harper was older than Patek. Age is shown in decimal. Patek may also have hit the fewest home runs that season, only five. His three homer game was in the middle. He played one more season but had no home runs in 47 AB.
The size data was taken from the Lahman database but it is consistent with baseball-reference.com. For instance Will ..read more
