I was off to study abroad in Australia.
This was not a bucket list item for me. In fact, though it looked cool, I never intended to travel farther than maybe Europe. Here’s what influenced my big decision:
My high school boyfriend broke up with me.
Even though we were ALL wrong for each other and I was ready to break up with him, he beat me to it and sent me into a full-year tailspin of despair. Going to Australia would relieve ..read more

I consider the changing of the seasons to be quite a momentous time in the semester. It marks new beginnings and the end of the old. However, there is something quite nostalgic about the end of winter, even in Sweden.
When we arrived to Stockholm way back in January, I remember a server asked my friend and I a simple question: Why did you choose to study abroad in Sweden during the winter?

Google Translate
I think number one doesn’t need much explaining, Google Translate. Unless you are fluent in the language of the country you are traveling to, you should download Google Translate.
Google Lens
To take it a step further, such as reading in another language, get Google Lens. This is really handy in stores and signs. Open the app, hold the camera up to what you want to translate, pick the translate option (they have other really cool modes), and you’re all set.
Revolut
Next is Revolut! Unless you’re using a credit card that’s going to allow you to earn points on this trip ..read more

My favourite and least favourite module
My thoughts on semester 6
Spring semester is going great so far. It is flying by. The pace can be quite intense with all the classes and assignments, but it is all exciting to see how quickly I am progressing through the semester. I’ve been doing well with my grades up to this point, and I hope to maintain this level of success until the semester is over. In order for me to maintain this level. I just. need to stay focused in class and kee ..read more
