One of my favorite teaching projects for middle school math is the Math is Everywhere Tile Project that I use at the beginning of each year. The project gets students to see where they see math in the real world by relating to their own interests. I recently discovered another excellent way of displaying the tiles, other than the traditional bulletin board that is pictured below! First though, what is the project? As students gear up for summer and the school year winds down, it can be tough to stay productive during prep time. However, here are 3 things that you can do, before you pack your bags for the summer, that you will thank yourself for later! 1. I am beyond excited to be starting a new series of math games with Shana, from Scaffolded Math and Science! The games are call Voyage to the Treasure!
