It has been way too long since my last blog post! But I would like to make a go at making this blog a bit more of a regular thing to keep some of my collectors and followers up to date, who are not on social media. Where to begin? How about with the most recent exciting news?! I just completed a massive, 140’ x 23’ mural of an elephant herd, for ArtPrize in Grand Rapids, MI. Here is what I have to say about the mural… Charging Forward by Bradley Goff The last year has been remarkable. It has tested us each and every day. We have battled, literally fighting for our lives. In all of this, one t ..read more

A lot of work to be done! Paintings are selling. And time keeps on ticking into the future. Two of the Michigan Mini Paintings sold so far at the One Well Brewing show. I’m pretty happy with that because usually when someone walks into a bar to have a couple of pints, buying fine art is not on their mind (no, that is not the beginning of a joke.) It has been a great pleasure working with everyone involved at One Well. Especially Patrick Hershberger, who is the art curator. Sailboats! I started out with a few sailboat “studies” and they went over really well! So expect to see a big focus on sa ..read more

Still Painting!

I got my show set up at One Well Brewery this past week. I’m very happy with the way the paintings look in their new setting. Most of the paintings are set against a wood panel wall. With the way the studio lighting is cast upon the art, it all came together nicely and really pops! Recently, I have been working on a new Marina series. The paintings are similar to my Northern Lights series, but with more of a focus on the look and feel of an abstract marina with sail boats. I’ve also started working on a couple new commissions. One of the commissions will be of an Owl (My first Owl!) The other ..read more

First Blog Post of 2018! 2017 was a monumental year for my art career. And, thank you so much to all who bought art from me or supported me in any other way! I am truly grateful! In November of 2017, I officially became a 100% full time artist. I can not believe I have the opportunity to devote so much time and energy into getting my art career off the ground. In just in the past month I have been able to create quite a bit of momentum, and I am excited to see where this year will take me. This past week I finally finished the largest painting I have ever made. It’s a commission that will be ..read more

We are in mid September now and the Summer art business was far greater than expected! I sold out of all my new paintings at all three art fairs I did. I have completed many Commissioned Paintings. And the commissions keep rolling in (thank you everyone! You are Amazing!) My current inventory of paintings (along with some paintings borrowed back from clients) has been on display the past two months for Art Hop, Downtown Kalamazoo. Cherry Tree Financial hosted my artwork for the month of August. Webster’s Prime is currently hosting my work for the month of September on the second floor of the ..read more

The KIA Art Fair was a success a couple weekends ago! I sold Paintings 8 and 9 from the Northern Lights Series, the third painting from my Paddle Series, and “Lake House” that I painted last year. I also, once again, met a lot of new awesome people and schedule a couple more commissions. My roll of canvas should get here today. So I’m hoping I can finish making the 3’x5’ canvas for Nikki’s next piece. I learned a new way of making the frame to stretch the canvas on. This new method should make the finished canvas a superior product! Very soon, I plan on making a slight tweak to the canvases I ..read more

I can’t believe I haven’t posted in two months! Time is flying by at warp speed, and I’m loving every moment of it. Since my last post, many paintings have been created and sold, and many commissions have been ordered. I have met a lot of new great people. The MSU art fair was awesome. And getting ready for the KIA art fair in Kalamazoo this weekend. Northern Lights Series continues to be a hit. Julie commissioned her painting back in February and it was dubbed “Northern Lights.” Next, “Boundless Imagination” was created with a similar look and feel. After Nikki purchased “Boundless Imaginatio ..read more

Happy Monday! Once again, a lot has happened since my last post. My Giraffe painting sold, I created and sold a second Paddle Painting, I have a new Oak Tree Painting commission in the works, I was invited to participate in two Art Hops, and I was accepted to the MSU/East Lansing Art Fair. With all the buzz going around about April the Giraffe and her pending birthing of a baby calf, I figured that I would put my Giraffe painting back out on the spotlight. I have been wanting to get this painting into someone’s home for a long time because, like with a lot of my paintings, it just looks so muc ..read more

A lot has happened since my last post! I finished a 40” x 30” abstract painting that I am very happy with. I wasn’t quite sure what to name it so I posted an image on Facebook and Instagram and asked people to tell me what they saw in the painting. The response was great! I could not believe how many people replied, and how imaginative they were. Here is a run down of what people saw or suggested as a title; Harbor, Marina, Mystic Aquarius, Shanties on the pond, Arctic Lights, Reflection of trees in still water, Tranquility, Frozen lake surrounded by a forest, Reflections (a few people said re ..read more

Happy Monday! I’ve been staying quite busy and have a lot I want to get out of my head and onto a canvas. Last night I delivered the Trevino commission to their lake house. I was excited to see how it would look with the lighting in their house. Although we had overcast skys, I was happy with what I saw while I was there. The room where the painting will be hanging receives full southern sunlight over a large lake. On a clear morning the room will be filled with natural warm light that will accentuate the colors in the painting perfectly! I finished a painting of a couple of canoe paddles late ..read more
