Many designers create lovely resin work but the designs Croatian artists, Nadia and her mother, of SummerGirlArt, are refreshingly different. Their designs often display that something extra. The iridescent real flower resin coasters above are great examples. The brown resin geodes below look like sliced tree trunks to me!

Not overly fond of the plain round Christmas baubles? Then dress them up with beadwork! Some really romantic and elegant beaded Christmas ornament tutorials you should see are those by Michigan based bead artist, Cathy Andrews of AndreaCatherineJewel. I have featured this talented designer before here.
She uses pearls, crystals, rivolis, and other beads to great effect. She often creates swags and netted effects. Some of them use specific stitches like the double St Petersburg or RAW. Cathy also offers tutorial sets.

I really like bead embroidery because the possibilities are endless. I especially like the tutorials by Canadian Dene artist , Breanna Dei, s not just because she teaches well but her designs have a contemporary style. They are captivating.
Shown here is one of my favorites - a cheerful sunflower earrings tutorial. It's easy enough for beginners. You can see more tutorials on her Youtube. She lists her supplies and suppliers here on her website.

Now that last season's peak selling season is over, it's time to prepare for the year ahead. An attractive setup is key to drawing visitors to your craft show table. Your jewelry should also be visible so taking advantage of the vertical space is necessary. The displays should be light and ideally flat packed to make transportation easier.
There are many ways you can make displays yourself (see links below) but the rising popularity and availability of laser cut wood ones gives us even more attractive and functional choices. The wood can be personalized with engraving and can be stain ..read more

Sometimes I wish long hair suited me because hair jewelry can be so pretty for formal occasions as well as practical for when hair needs to be up and out of the way.
Shown here are 8 hair stick, pin and fork styles which would suit every taste. First up is the gorgeous statement wire wrapped hair stick shown above, by Ngọc Hân Chế of Rainingonisteria in Texas. The design reminds us of hanfu or traditional Chinese dress. In those days, women had long hair and if they were rich enough, styled elaborately and decorated with pins such as these.

I first featured Maryland based Valeriya of SplendidBeadsBklyn several years ago. She is a gifted bead artist who creates really pretty beadwork designs. Now it's time to focus on her awesome range of beaded Christmas ornament patterns.
Her very creative mind has come up with several Santa Clauses alone. Shown here is just a few from her collection. Some of her ornaments are clearly meant for hanging on Christmas trees. But they can also be mounted into picture frames as shown by the dog with a Christmas hat design.

Gemstones are one of the most popular jewelry making materials to use. They come in all kinds of colors and shapes. While round gemstone beads are staples, some of the hand carved ones are simply spectacular.
Texas based, StonesDirect is a gemstone supplier whose listings are sure to cause a lot of drooling. I was certainly captivated by their beautiful gemstone listings. Be prepared to get lost in their collection as you hop from one to another!

Ella is the Californian creative mind behind GothicOrbJewelry. Her gothic jewelry designs are outstanding. I especially love her unique ear pieces which range from ear cuffs and ear jackets to hoops and threaders.
The classic goth themes are there such as the Death Head moth, pendant (above), dragons, snakes, Gothic cathedral windows, elves, tentacles. Ella uses not just the black and grey colors of stainless steel but some of designs also feature gold plating and crystals for pops of color.

I am not at all certain why North Carolina based bead artist, Kassie Shaw, of BeadingButterflyShop named her shop that way. I'd like to think that she is so creative and accomplished, she is able to flit like a butterfly from different styles, beadweaving stitches and from beginner to really advanced designs.
I featured her before but like a lot of talented and productive designers, I love to circle back and showcase the other designs I missed before.
