I am getting a Crescent Crew (13' tandem) kayak for a lake where we have a cement dock with metal posts. Can you share suggestions for how to store the kayak on the dock?
Since it's 80lbs, we were thinking keeping it upside down on the ground may be easier than picking it up onto a stand. However, I assume we need a softer surface for it to rest on the dock. so I currently own a viper kayak (it was cheap and I needed one for a trip) I don't use it very often but when I do my back afterwards is absolutely screaming does anyone know of good replacement seats or anything I can do to make it a tad more comfortable for long periods of use? if not does anyone have a good recommendation for an enclosed kayak for tall people (6'5) like myself?

If you ever get the opportunity to paddle the Rideau Canal from end-to-end - Kingston to Ottawa in our case - take it ! We took 8 leisurely days to do the 200kms and it was the best trip !!

Presently, I'm just looking to kayak. I may want to fish from it in the future as well. Comfort is pretty important, but so is how it tr ..read more

Had a blast today! First time kayaking! Did a few miles this morning, got a slight shoulder workout together. What’s everyone’s opinion or experience on pickup bed extension? looking for safer options for traveling.
