Doctor won’t treat subclinical hypo

I’m so frustrated! ??? I feel insanely tired all the time, and I have all symptoms of hypo, all my other lab tests results are normal except for tsh which is a 7. It used to be a 10 when I was going through a very stressful time 3 years ago, but now it’s still high even though I have no stress. Doctors solution: eat well, sleep, exercise - I do all but my tsh levels haven’t become normal in 3 years… submitted by /u/BrushFrequent1128 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Period changes with higher dose?

So I've recently upped my dosage and had some positive changes that seem like I'm on the right path, but I have also seem to be having some menstrual changes which could indicate I'm taking too much? My period last month was very short(only two days, my normal before thyroid issues was 3-4 days). This months period seems to be arriving a week early, a 23 day overall cycle compared to my normal 28-30 day cycle. Are period disruptions normal with an increase? Should I wait and see if it levels out or would it be worth it to seek a blood test again? Three weeks ago my TSH came in at .79( ref ran ..read more

My mom keeps calling me lazy knowing I have hypothyroidism

It’s very dismissive, rude and annoying that she keeps insisting on calling me lazy when I literally feel like I’m half dead because of this condition. She knows this is what makes me feel really weak all the time but her attitude is like she thinks I’m exaggerating my problems or making excuses to not do stuff. I wish I had the type of parent that takes health seriously and researches the health conditions of their kids and actually tries to help them get better instead of trying to make insults to make them feel even worse. Anyone else’s parents like this? submitted by /u/DueBerry4332 [vis ..read more

Original and Update Read the original to find what I've been experiencing... So now I'm under the care of an endocrinologist. She ordered an adrenal/cortisol test that showed my cortisol was low but adrenal function is fine. She tested my ACTH and thats normal. MRI came back with a 3mm microadenoma, but my doctor said that's not big enough to cause any issues. So, now we're lost. She's ordering additional tests but said she needs to do some research to find out what else it could be. We're we at now: Thyroid ultrasound normal with a nodule present but nodule shows no pathology on ultrasound ..read more

I have been taking NP thyroid for about 2 years now and recently my blood count/ferritin went under the good zone. So I started taking some iron supplements at night daily, first felt pretty good but now I feel like crap. My symptoms honestly feel pretty similar to hyperthyroid symptoms. They are: I get hot way easier right now I’m itchy a lot and can’t focus I feel nervous/anxious I have some slight headaches Is it possible? I’m getting labs soon so I guess that will tell me but I also want to hear feedback. submitted by /u/badonkerous [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

https://imgur.com/a/r5wRA0i It's been a Rollercoaster of a time after years of medical gaslighting to figure out what's causing my symptoms. I have every symptom but the real red flag for me was when I was diagnosed with low T and shbg now being in the 1000s ngdl and still feeling miserable. My TSH at its worst was only 4.6 and a .9 t4 (.8-1.8 range) but had a feeling something was wrong. I also have sleep apnea that I use a cpap for, I'm on TRT and my pituitary was cleared as being fine. Rheumatoid factor came back normal. Nothing alleviates my symptoms. I still don't understand what thyrogl ..read more
