Low FSH; Lower End TSH

Hi I am a 31 year old female. I am having hyperthyroid symptoms but my health issues are still a mystery and no doctor has acted like these results show anything. I did the Dutch hormone test and also had low end Free Cortisol and higher levels of free cortisone along with metabolized cortisone being favored heavily over metabolized cortisol. I am wondering if a TSH of .8 and FSH below normal range would indicate anything. I am having extreme weakness, severe tremors, starvation, overheating, palpitations etc Thank you! submitted by /u/Outrageous-Box-7214 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hi there, 30 Y.O. Female here. So I have been having a lot of symptoms that I have been going to my primary doctor for but could not figure out what was wrong over the last 1.5 years. Finally when to my gynecologist to test for possible PCOS and he told me I have abnormal thyroid labs. Low TSH and high T4 which would indicate HYPER-thyroidism. However, my symptoms that I have been having have been more similar to HYPO-thyroidism. Weight gain, extreme fatigue (5 hr naps), brain fog, depression, hair loss, numbness, heavier periods, etc etc. The only symptoms I have had that are more HYPER is I ..read more

I know nothing about thyroid issues but I have been having issues with dizziness, dry eyes/blurry-ish vision, nausea (the beginning was worse but it's tapered off) racing heart and a lot of other symptoms. The first dr I saw at the ER said he thought it might be my thyroid. Did a TSH test and CBC and said everything looked fine. Then told me I had vertigo and a panic attack. Anyways, I ordered blood work online and just got it back. I don't have a dr appt til June so I wanted to see if anyone knew if these numbers were ok? Thank you for reading. Hi! I have a large nodule that was evaluated by ultrasound and a TIRADS 4. I had a fine needle aspiration biopsy last Friday the 12th. I do not know the results. I have a follow up with my ENT tomorrow. My blood work is normal range. What kinds of questions should I be asking tomorrow at my ENT follow-up? What should o expect or watch out for? submitted by /u/Daffodil87100 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I had a neck CT scan with contrast a couple of weeks ago; follow up appt after an inconclusive ultrasound that showed a small fluid filled cyst below/to the left of my thyroid gland that could not be identifed. The CT scan results that came back on Monday morning, and I'm pretty anxious because it mentions an incidental finding "nodular enhancement" on a major vein in my upper chest separate from the thyroid gland. My cervical lymph nodes are normal, but some of my lab results have raised red flags, along with recent systemic symptoms that began within the past year. These tests have all been ..read more

Hi everyone, Does anyone deal with swollen lymph nodes with hyperthyroidism? I have a few on my left side of my neck so I went to get an ultrasound today and just got the results in. Can anyone help me understand these results? Should I be concerned? 6mm seems large. submitted by /u/trammiie [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

So I finally had an endocrinologist appointment yesterday. I came prepared with an ultrasound report from December that included basic information about some nodules (just the dimensions but no T-RAD or anything) and also my TSH levels for the past 3 years (.77, .47, .4). I have a pretty comprehensive family history of thyroid issues: parathyroid for both of my grandmothers; Hashimoto’s and a precancerous (I forgot the word) for my dad (he had 2 surgeries, the second one to remove a goiter the size of an avocado as they left in half the thyroid the first surgery and clearly that wasn’t the ri ..read more

Goiter -- should I be worried?

EDIT: Update-- saw my primary care physician today. He wants me to get the goiter removed surgically after first getting an ultrasound and biopsy. I have a small goiter on my left side, I did not even notice it until I was in the hospital for throwing out my back a couple of months ago and the CT and MRI showed the goiter to be larger than I thought it was; it is like a swelling where my collar bone meets my throat area. TSH is extrememly low (almost zero), although I do each a lot of foods high in biotin which can give a falsely low TSH test result. My free T4 and free T4 are normal. Thyroid ..read more
