So my TSH was 0.02 and my T3 was 4.38 and my T4 was 1.62, since I have low TSH and almost high T4 and T3, I read I have Subclinical hyperthyroidism, which some physicians don’t do anything for, but I do have a lot of symptoms for hyperthyroidism (tachycardia, sweating, weight loss, intolerance of heat, frequent #2’s, hair loss, painful thyroid, etc.) and my mother has hashimoto’s. I guess I’m asking if anyone thinks they will actually treat it or wait and see as they say. I’m already taking a beta blocker for some of the symptoms but it doesn’t help all of them. I go in for my diagnosis tomor ..read more

I was increased to 30 mg of NP and took it 90 days and my numbers looked great. I lost five pounds after not being able to lose for over a year. My next batch smelled like cat pee and seemed darker. I gained the five back and my numbers were down like 30 points at my next 90-day checkup. Could the cat pee batch have been duds? Should I return them if I get them again? The batch I got a few weeks ago seems normal.

TPO is <9 IU/mL and reference range is <35 IU/mL. But looking at other sources, it says that values above 9 IU/mL are generally associated with autoimmune thyroiditis. How accurate is that? Most sources say above 35 is a concern but I’ve seen a few that above 9 is a concern?

I have a biopsy early tomorrow, just want to confirm it’s not anything I’ll need strong meds for or anything. I’m planning to drive myself while my husband is holding down house, breakfast kids. Just want to make sure I’m realistic in my planning.

Hello,
I have a large U3/U4 thyroid nodule. I was told that I would need it surgically removed and was put on the two week urgent pathway. I saw the specialist today and he said he wants to remove but wants to do a CT scan first. Has anyone had this, how quick was the turn around between the CT scan and the surgery. I'm autistic and all of this is really overwhelming.
Thanks for any support.

Does anyone have any experience with a highly overactive parathyroid causing the thyroid to have a faulty immune response?

Just a question! Has anyone been diagnosed with a thyroid condition and your bloods were high reverse T3 and low T4?
My reverse T3 was 379.0 pmol/L (so high by 9pmol/L)
And my Free T4 was 11.4pmol/L in October last year and then this year it’s gone up to optimal (14.0pmol/L)
Don’t know if that’s because I’m on metformin if that raised my T4 levels.
But is this worth investigating for thyroid conditon? It’s in my family too. But I also have PCOS. I thought my results were “normal” but just recently found out they aren’t normal. So any thoughts or any one with similar bloods and been diagnosed ..read more
