Almost paid in 30 years for universal life, what’s it worth?

Mother was taken advantage of many years ago by a “family friend” to open a universal life insurance for my grandma (both speak very limited English). I had to spend hours researching what any of these policies mean, but I still dont have a solid understanding. Even calling the insurance company (principal) is of no help cause they can’t answer any questions and keep referring me to a specialist who will call me back (they didn’t, what a surprise). The insurance is now in a grace period because I honestly don’t know what I’m paying for at this point (the premiums are crazy high). Hoping someo ..read more

Life Insurance Policy for a Leukemia Patient - Is there no chance?

My father was diagnosed with Leukemia a few years back, specifically CLL. This is chronic, and currently there is no cure for it, but people tend to have a longer prognosis with this than any of the other leukemias. Nonetheless, I am wondering if I can help arrange any sort of financial security for my parents. My father owns a business that my mother is an employee for. Unfortunately they have very limited savings in retirement. I was wondering if Life Insurance for him would even be an option for someone in his condition? Curious for any advice! submitted by /u/Choice_Crow_5217 [visit redd ..read more

Whole Life Insurance a good vehicle for savings?

I've got term life which I have the option to turn into whole life. My agent explained how it is a good savings account but honestly it is all still confusing if it's a good or bad thing. The one aspect I like is when I die my kids will get something from my actual dead body, of course there are all the material things and whatever savings I build up. My body will be actually worth something for them. I compare it to when my Father died all I got were his loose ends I had to deal with because he didn't have a will in place or put proper beneficiaries. Anyone have any site that explains it wel ..read more

What quoting tools are other independent life agents using, for all product types?

Hey there - I’m newer to life insurance sales. For context, I’m doing an application or two a day sourced 90% from google search leads. I have an upline IMO that has an “ok” quoting and illustration tool. However, it’s annoying to quote permanent products (GUL, Whole Life, IUL, Final Expense). Term quoting is fine and seems like there’s lots of options for that (eg Term4Sale). I have appointments with most of the major insurers through the up line (AIG, MOO, Nationwide, Protective, MassMutual, etc). What do you all use to run quotes to get clients rough pricing and then what do you use to rea ..read more

I’m already fat and panicking about this, I don’t need it to get any worse than it’s probably going to be lmao Thanks! submitted by /u/Available_Repair609 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I got a letter in the mail when I moved about a life insurance policy from my deceased grandma. She passed away in 2006 and they said they recently did an audit and realize that she passed away and need to change the beneficiary over. I don't remember the name of the company and don't have the letter any mote. I tried the NAIC but since I'm not the beneficiary it doesn't matter my grandma was the beneficiary. It's a universal life policy purchased in 1992. It could potentially change my life and I don't know what to do to find out the company name again. Thanks for the time and Info or help i ..read more

Hello all. I am looking for advice on life insurance payouts and trusts. I just want to make sure that the lawyer that is being gone through is not trying to pull a fast one on anyone. I live in IN for reference. Some back story. On March 1st of this year my daughter's (6) father was in a car accident and passed away. He had life insurance and accidental death added to it. My daughter and his other son were the only beneficiaries for this insurance as he had not added his new wife to the policy yet. Not long after he passed she met with a lawyer about a wrongful death suit and taking care of ..read more
