Key Points: Geo Oceans won and delivered several successful campaigns in 2023 with tasks including cleaning and inspection of flowlines and mooring chains. They used their Reach Bravo 5 and 7-Function lightweight electric manipulators to reduce the time taken to complete cleaning and inspection work by up to 50% according to the operators. Operators pointed to the versatility, reach, and ease of use of the manipulators when wielding dredging hoses, high-pressure cleaning lances and other tools, as the main reasons for the efficiency boost. The Campaigns Subsea oil fields are comprised of ..read more

In November 2023, Reach Robotics celebrated 7 years since its founding in 2016 by engineers and friends, Paul Phillips and Mark Sproule. Armed with a serious passion for advanced technology, the pair built, tested, verified and sold their first robotic actuators from a desk in the corner of a co-working space (recap their startup story here). Flash forward 7 years and Reach Robotics is a thriving advanced technology business headquartered in Sydney with an international team delivering robotic solutions to global markets. Mark reflects on the achievement; “Paul and I started Reach Robotics wi ..read more

Reach Robotics’ vision is to extend human reach into harsh environments. We do that with tough, advanced electric manipulator arms and perception systems. A robotic arm, however, is only as useful as its ability to complete meaningful work and so we strive to develop the tooling and software that enables specific missions to be completed successfully and efficiently. Since 2018, operators within the US Department of Defence (DoD) have used our robotic grabber and manipulator technologies integrated onto their ROVs to push the boundaries of capability with underwater robotic systems. In 2021, w ..read more
