Just had some maintenance on toilet. Is this normal? We never experienced or had this issue but we are told this is new and normal because of the new valve but I feel air is being pushed backward instead of going out.
P.S we had some strange thing happening as well. Overheating floorboards (some areas, toilet, bedroom), steam coming through floor cracks, rotten musty burnt wood, odor and steam was all over the apartment. Although they said they took care of it but never explained.
Please advise.

Heard some buzzing coming from my laundry closet. Opened the door and found out my laundry detergent that was on top of my water heater started leaking a lot of liquid detergent all over the top of it. I cleaned up the detergent but there was a buzzing coming from the metal plate circled in the picture. I turned off the heater at the breaker box and the sound stopped.
I am assuming the detergent leaked into this area and was causing whatever electrical item to make the buzzing sound. So I would like to know what this is and if the detergent could have damaged any things inside there. I w ..read more

What is the best way or part to connect a gas tank less water heater condensate line (1/2" pvc or poly) to the 2" standpipe, which in my case is angled out of the garage drywall at maybe 22°? The washer drain, of course, still has to feed into the pipe beside the condensate and allow the latter to have an air gap. I vaguely remember seeing a plastic, crescent shaped part that filled a fraction of the standpipe and created an air gap below the tubing, but I can't figure out what to call it to search for it.

Hi all. I just moved into a new construction home and am looking to install a water softener system for my fiancée. I have been informed that my house is in fact already plumbed for a water softener, so I got the aquasure harmony, this is the one I got. I have very basic plumbing knowledge so forgive me if this is a stupid question: As seen in the pictures, there are 2 1" PEX pipes coming from the wall. After shutting off my water, should I just be able to pull off that front pipe connecting them and attach my water softener connectors to these pipes easily or is there other work that has ..read more

During a freeze, a pvc connection came loose. Can I clean it up and reseal/cement it? or Should I replace? and if I were to replace it, just the right straight pipe, or the whole section?
I am handy but I have little experience with Plumbing. Cutting and replacing scares me lol
This is a water supply from a Well, before the pressure tank.
Appreciate any advice!
