Empty Bowls—An Artful Celebration of Sharing! The Community Meal Program, sponsored by the Vashon Social Services Network, is pleased to announce there will be an opportunity to dine on a simple meal of soup and bread on Friday evening, November 8th at the Presbyterian Church.  Island artists, young and old, under the enthusiastic coordination of local potter Liz Lewis, have contributed hand crafted bowls for the event.  In exchange for a cash donation, guests are asked to keep a bowl as a reminder of all the bowls empty of food around the world.   Clay campers pitched in ..read more
