When we visited Denali, you could only reach mile marker 43 in the park. In the past, you have been able to go to mile marker 92. But a mudslide took out part of the road. It sounds like it will be years before it is fixed. This post will share all about riding the East Fork Transit In Denali National Park
It is 100% still worth it to go on the bus ride 43 miles into the park! Below we share all the details on taking the bus.
East Fork Transit Tickets
There were 2 tour options – 1 being a wildlife tour and the other a more information tour. Both of these would have cost over $100 for adults an ..read more

If you just bought a new RV for the summer RVing season or if you are moving into an RV to travel full time you are going to want to make it feel like your own! RV’s have come a long way with how they look inside off of the show room floor – the industry finally figured out that bright colors are better for in an RV – thank goodness!
But no matter how good they get at it you are still going to want to make it your own. We have done this with 4 different rigs. Some we did a lot of remodel work, others it was just painting and adding wallpaper and accessories.
The good thing is you can do as muc ..read more

Planning a National Park trip can be overwhelming. Even thinking about going and all the logistics can stop people from planning the trip. We have visited over 30 National Parks, multiple of them 2, 3, or more times, and we want to share our top 3 tips on how to leave the stress behind and enjoy your National Park trip.
Let me start by saying we are not plan way ahead kind of people. That means we usually plan our National Park trip about one month out from the trip. Sometimes, we are on it and plan three months out. But not normally.
This means we could miss out on the window to book our vehi ..read more

Now that it has been almost two years since we lived, worked, and traveled full-time in our RV, we wanted to talk about the biggest differences we see between RV living and living in a sticks and bricks (a house).
We full-time RV’d for eight years, the last 2 of which were in our Keystone Montana High Country 335BH fifth wheel! Since getting off the road, we have sold that rig and downsized to a smaller fifth wheel: a 29-foot Keystone Arcadia 248SLRE, which we took to Alaska on a two-month road trip last year!

Kings Canyon is a lesser-known National Park – I didn’t even know where or what it was until I started researching National Parks for our Southern California road trip. I can’t believe more people don’t come! It was amazing. Below is our list of things to do in Kings Canyon National Park.
Our Experience In Kings Canyon
We opted to try the first-come, first-serve campground. It was the weekend before Memorial Day, so we figured we had a good shot since it wasn’t hot travel season quite yet. We got in on a Friday at about 3:30 and easily found two sites (my sister and her family were with us, to ..read more

Dog sledding has been on my bucket list for a long time, so I was excited to learn we would go dog sledding in Quebec City! Dog sledding with Aventure Inukshuk ended up being one of our favorite things to do in Quebec City with kids.
Dog Sled Company: Aventure Inukshuk
Who we are: Mom (43) and son (16)
Experience: Newbies
Length of experience: Just over 2 hours (1 hour on the sleds)
What To Wear
We wore snow pants, a big winter jacket, gloves, a hat and winter boots. It wasn’t super cold when we went, but I would also recommend a face covering.
Arriving To Check In

The Ice Hotel (Hôtel de Glace) is a must-see in Quebec City. Even if you can’t secure a night’s stay, it is worth it to tour the hotel and church, ride down the slide, and get an ice drink.
The Ice Hotel Tour Experience
The only ice hotel in North America, made with 35,000 tons of snow and 2400 blocks of ice, can be toured from 10 am-8 pm. But always check their site to confirm before you go.
It is cold in the Ice Hotel (between 25-40 degrees Fahrenheit), so you should dress accordingly. We recommend snow pants, a winter coat, snow boots (helpful on the slide and sitting for a drink), a hat, a ..read more

Before coming to Quebec City, I had never heard of Ice Canoeing. But I knew I wanted to try it and see if it would be as fun as it sounded and if it would be a good thing to do with teens in Quebec City!
History of Ice Canoeing
Ice Canoeing isn’t new. It started as a necessity to get people across the St Lawrence River. From there, it became a competitive sport and now a tourist activity. You won’t find it everywhere since the conditions must be right, but Quebec City is perfect for it.

Have you ever considered fat biking in snow? If not, you should! Echo Sports in Quebec City offers an awesome activity: riding an electric Fat Bike on the snow!
Fat Biking In Quebec City
You meet the team at Echo Sports, where they make sure you are all ready to go: helmet, proper gloves, proper face covering, and an electric fat bike that fits you. From there, you head over to the ferry.
The ferry ride is an adventure, taking you across the ice and water in the river to the opposite side. The views are beautiful, and while you are taking it all in, your guide gives you an amazing history over ..read more

Dawson City is a super unique, quirky, and fun town! We pulled in at about 7 pm on our road trip to Alaska and headed to check into our campground which was right in the city – which meant we could walk to anywhere we wanted to go in the city.
We made dinner and headed out to the Ice Cream shop. The shop closed at 9 pm, and we barely made it in time. The kids enjoyed their ice cream while we looked over the Yukon River.
After that, we walked back to the campground, and it really seemed like there were no people out and about. It was a little creepy at first. And I think the fact that it was st ..read more
