I received around $1500 dividend in May.
I usually receive lower dividend income in February, May, August and November. And I receive much higher income (almost double) for the rest of the eight months.
I just realized that a few of my holdings, Pembina Pipeline (TSE:PPL), Keyera Corp (TSE:KEY), Topaz Energy (TSE: TPZ), moved from monthly dividend to quarterly payments. Thus, I expect to receive slightly lower dividend income for this quarter.
I continue buying income-generating assets, aka dividend stocks. Therefore, I expect to receive much high income in June and July.

For those of you new to this website, in this post, I discuss the recent changes I made in my dividend portfolios, and sometimes I discuss my portfolio diversification strategies as well.
Once again, I didn’t make any major purchases in May. I just reinvested a portion of dividend income from my registered accounts and continued paying down debts in my non-registered accounts.
Also, I sold my entire holdings on Restaurant Brands International Inc. (QSR.TO) with a decent profit.
I had only 76 QSR shares in my portfolio and sold all of them, and the proceeds raised from the were used to ..read more

A short intro for new readers
If you are not new here, then you can simply skip to the next section.
For those new to my finance journey, this net-worth update is a simple report I publish every month, which tracks the progress of my journey to reach my financial goals.
My ultimate financial goal is to become a self-made millionaire by December 2024 (10 years plan). I have a strong belief that I can achieve this goal by saving and investing in high-quality dividend-paying blue-chip companies. I am also a strong believer of ‘compounding’ power, and I believe if I can push myself now and build ..read more

I received over $3100 dividend in April.
It is the second highest dividends I received in a month. The highest one was January 2023 so far. Due to AQN dividend cut, my April income reduced; however, the impact was partially ofset by dividend hikes and dividend reinvestments in other stocks. And the April dividend income is 39.38% higher than in the same period last year.
I expect to receive an even higher dividend in July (comparable quarter) as I continue investing a portion of the income. Most of my holdings will increase their distributions in the first quarter.
In the coming months, I pla ..read more

I didn’t make any major purchases in April.
I just reinvested a portion of dividend income in my registered accounts and added some stocks in my existing holdings.
Last month, my focus was on debt reduction.
I received a decent amount of tax refund. Using the tax refund, saving and dividend collected in my non-registered accounts, I was able to reduce my debts by over $8000.

I received over $2850 dividend in March.
It is one of the highest dividends I received in a month, and it is 14.49% higher than in the same period last year.
I expect to receive an even higher dividend in June(comparable quarter) as I continue investing a portion of the income. Most of my holdings will increase their distributions in the first quarter.
In the coming months, I plan to reinvest a portion of my dividends in registered accounts, let the compounding machine run its own, and reduce my debt load by using another portion of my dividend income from my non-registered accounts.

For those of you new to this website, in this post, I discuss the recent changes I made in my dividend portfolios, and sometimes I discuss my portfolio diversification strategies as well.
The stock markets were down again in March, which created buying opportunities.
I broke my this year’s promise of paying down debts and bought some dividend growth stocks using margin.
This is not the first time I am doing this. I always get excited when the markets head to south and buy stocks.
I spent more than $10K last month for my investments. Most of the money came from my margin loan, and the ..read more
