Hi all, My SIL (brother’s wife) has been having her mom give her two boys (my nephews) perms. The children are 7 and 4. they both have mullets that they are perming. The gma is doing the perms at her house, as far as I know she has no hair training, but from pictures posted on Facebook generally has an idea of the process. They gave the 7 year old his first perm in December. At first I didn’t really care, I think it’s weird but whatever. Everyone else in my family hates it. The 4 year old got his first perm in January and they just gave him another one at the end of March. I’m not sure if the ..read more

Hi so ever since I was 13-14 I have had grey hairs and I have never known why as my mother and dad never had the same issue but my brother who I have the most similar genes with also has grey hair early so I don’t know what this is as I don’t believe it’s genetics as my parents don’t have it but I don’t know how to find out or learn more, and the only thing I could suspect so far it a copper deficiency but I have no way to prove this besides the fact I also have iron deficiency and have heard they can be linked anyways I would appreciate any information helping me narrow down what the probabl ..read more

Best styling mousse for creating sleek hairstyles?
Reddit | Hair Care Tips

I’m looking for a mousse that will kind of wet my hair to pull it straighter then hold it in place. I have curly hair and struggle with frizz when creating sleek styles such as braids or tight ponies. Is mousse the best way to go about this? I’ve also considered a gel or maybe an oil? Or a leave in conditioner? Bonus points if it helps to prevent damage or even improves the condition of my hair. Thank you! submitted by /u/limpbizkitfan97 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Oily itchy scalp
Reddit | Hair Care Tips

I'm a 27-year-old male, and for the past year, my hair becomes very oily just a day after washing. I've been using 2% ketoconazole shampoo daily, which prevents an itchy scalp, but skipping a day brings the oiliness back. However, daily washing makes my hair dry, frizzy, and leads to significant hair loss. Although I'm not balding and the hair does grow back, I've noticed considerable thinning. Is it safe to wash my hair every day? I would appreciate advice from anyone who has experienced similar issues. submitted by /u/UniversityRadiant692 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
