Volatility in the South Korea stock market has driven Korean investors to overseas funds. According to the Korea Financial Investment Association (KOFIA), South Korea’s investment into overseas funds has reached US$ 155 billion as of November 2019, representing month-over-month growth of US$ 2.1 billion. Samsung Securities recently announced the acquisition of the Amazon logistics center in Prague, Czech Republic on October 21, 2019, making it the fourth Amazon distribution center purchase in three years.  The South Korean brokerage firm has completed the purchase from AEW(www.aew.com), a US real estate investment company.  Samsung Securities Co. The South Korea private equity fund market continues to grow. Interest in private equity funds have seen a significant growth fueled by investment from Institutional investors. According to Korea Financial Investment Association, investment into PEF has doubled from US $12.6 bn to US $25.2 bn between 2014 to 2018 (US $4.6 bn was real estate related in 2018).
