Hi, I'm looking into different ways to display works on paper in larger sizes (approx 35"x50"/90x125 cm). I've been exploring mounting the work on a board or stretcher, but since I use wet media, I'm concerned about the necessary spray varnish damaging or minimizing the impact of the drawing. Does anybody have experience with acrylic/plexi frames? This looks like it could be an interesting way to display the work without overwhelming it with a heavy frame, but in this case, I'm worried about the plexi looking cheap. I just got into a Masters program for an art school which is mostly art history focused, especially contemporary art. Like most schools, it is quite expensive. I have zero background in art.
