The final day in our trip was short but sweet… The last place we got to discover in this amazing getaway, was Saint Paul de Vence. I am ashamed to admit that I didn’t know about this place’s existence before, when it is actually, one of the most visited villages in all France! Two eras collide Our day started with a visit to the Fondation Maeght, the place that holds the second largest collection of Modern Art in France after the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris. We got to learn a bit about the history of the family who founded it, and their unconditional love for art.   The only way I ..read more

Côte d’Azur | A day in Antibes

We woke up to grey skies and the threat of rain, but we weren’t gonna let that ruin our day… After early breakfast in our hotel we took the car towards Antibes and upon arrival we left the luggage at Hotel Juana to then head off to the Picasso Museum. A land of inspiration Formerly known as Château Grimaldi, this museum was the first in the world to be entirely dedicated to Picasso’s work and was inaugurated while he still lived. Looking at the incredible view this castle has of the Mediterranean Sea, it was just so clear to me, why he felt so drawn to moving in and use it as his studio for ..read more

Côte d’Azur | Rediscovering Nice

The second day of our time in the Côte d’Azur, was all about discovering Nice …   Although I had been to Nice once already, it was great to rediscover the city on a deeper level. Being completely honest, on my last trip, I pretty much stayed in the Old neighborhood and the beach, so I didn’t really take the time to actually know the place.   So much to see, so little time Our day started early with breakfast at Hotel Windsor, and continued with a walking tour of the “Vieux Nice”, which is the vibrant part of the city adjacent to the famous “Promenade des Anglais”. In this tour ..read more

Hello everyone! If you follow me on instagram, then you know that a couple of weeks back Wendy from “Nomadic Fare” and I, had the opportunity to pay a visit to the Côte d’Azur along with France’s tourism development agency “Atout France”. During our time spent in the South of France, we had the opportunity to visit four destinations where we learned about their history, their culture, their food and their people. The French Riviera is mostly renowned for being a top resort destination, which naturally anyone to think of it solely as a place to go to relax, swim and get some sunshine. Wha ..read more

In the past 6 months or so, I have discovered a new-found obsession with beauty products and make up… Looking back on it, I think it all started with my subscription to Glossybox. I started getting all these new products (some of which I didn’t even know what they were for) that I felt I had to try at least once or it’d be a waste. That led me to Youtube and beauty reviews/tutorials; I wanted to learn more about the products I was getting and how best to use them… You can imagine, the vortex of beauty vlogs sucked me in, and the rest is history. Lately, I find myself entering Sephora whe ..read more

So the 14 of July is here, and with it comes the ultimate French festivity in the city of lights. Every year, people get together to picnic in the afternoon and wait for the firework show; the most famous locations is of course Champ de Mars… but if you want to give this place a shot you must arrive extra early and expect big crowds (not for claustrophobic people)… It is after all the place where you really get to live the show. But not everyone is up for such a long wait and little space, so here’s a list of other spots with the best view of the Eiffel Tower: Trocadéro: An obvious opti ..read more

The best is that if you too, want a new perfect dress for the warm months, then you’re at the right place. On May 28, Naf Naf invites everyone to over 40 boutiques throughout Franc ..read more

As you might have noticed by now, I love weekend getaways! I just think they are a great way to travel; since it’s a short trip the expenses are reduced and by living in the European Union there’s the possibility to get to know amazing places that are only a short drive/flight/train away. The perfect example was the latest getaway my friends Meg, Anne, Roxy, Lauren and I did a couple of weeks ago. In a matter of two days we were in 3 different countries, isn’t that crazy? All of us being extremely corny and obsessed with flowers, we knew that a trip to the colorful Tulip Fields in R ..read more

The world of Fashion is definitely a funny one, we barely welcomed Spring and we’re already looking at what we’ll be wearing during the Fall. So last week during one of the very first sunny & warm days of the year I visited the cool Catherine Miran press office in the heart of Paris to see the Fall-Winter 2016 collections of their catalog of brands. It was a great opportunity to not only see the new proposals of labels I know (Petit Bateau, Swildens, Sessun) but also to discover and obsess over other labels that I had never heard about (Essentiel, Michino, Hanro). So here’s a sn ..read more

During the month of April, with the recent arrival of Spring and the prospect of Summer I always get this sudden itch to start planning a little getaway for August. It all starts with me going crazy checking exotic destinations and then realizing either time or money will become an issue, so I end up going to the basics; places that aren’t too far away or those that I already know. When I used to live in Mexico that place was Merida in the State of Yucatan; I’ve been there countless of times and yet I always want to go back! It is a small city in south east Mexico that is characterized for al ..read more
