Hey everyone I live in Australia and my centre changed the oil pattern. The pattern I was bowling on the ball would skid and wouldn’t turn the corner. I was forward on the approach but should have been back more on the approach. I kept moving back a little bit and I would move left somehow I kept moving left with speed and tried to get speed with my legs that didn’t work. So I'm gearing up to fill out the top of my bag, currently working with an attention star, hyped solid, and a plastic for spares. I have taken advice from my local pro shop, and from various friends that bowl and I'm very stuck on where to go with my top of the bag solid! The main 2 I am considering at this time are the Optimum Idol and the Gem. I have also looked at the Black Widow 3.0, Harsh Reality, etc. I am more partial to either the Optimum Idol or the Gem, but I am even open to any suggestions that I haven't listen. My team mate on league is an 83 year old guy with a pacemaker that can barely walk but he can still bowl. He's pretty accurate and can nail the pocket all night long. Problems is he has very little ball speed, about 7.5-8 mph, actually gets a fair amount of revs on it so despite throwing a 10 pound plastic ball, he hooks the hell out of it. Seriously, he's going coast to coast to the pocket. But a light ball going that slow hits the pocket, it leaves a ton of 10 pins. Wish I could post a picture but don’t have one because I don’t know what it’s called to look up the tool. It’s essentially a bevel knife, but the small blade at the end is in the form of a hook. This helps give an evenly curved bevel all around the thumbhole. I’ve tried to look up bevel knives with that shape, but nothing comes up. So maybe it’s called something else? Looking for some nice’ish slacks to wear. Usually wear shorts but tournaments requiring pants… looking for something light (I tend to get hot hot {my body not my score}) and I am 6 foot 3 and have some pretty muscular thighs and booty. 38x34 if that makes a difference I have read that the under ar golf pants are solid but wanted to see if there is a cheaper but equal quality pair? I've notice some elbow pain the last few times I've bowled. But it only lasts for 3-5 balls in practice then subsides. And its a little sore after im done bowling foe the night. For those that have had elbow pain from bowling would you recommend a compression sleeve, a tennis elbow brace/strap, or KT tape?
