Taylor is a two-time NCAA champion and 4 time Olympic/World Champion. Taylor won an Olympic Gold in 2020, World titles in 2018, 2022, and 2023, and a Silver in 2021. Last month legendary Oklahoma State head wrestling coach John Smith announced his retirement after 33 years at the helm of the wrestling program. Bixby’s Gage Walker has been named the 2024 Oklahoma winner of the Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award by the National Wrestling Hall of Fame. The DSHSEA was established in 1996 to honor Olympic and World champion Dave Schultz, whose career was cut short when he was murdered in January 1996.
