Is two month old sangria safe to drink?

Hello! I have some sangria that was pushed to the back of the fridge and unfortunately forgotten for a little under two months. It smells fine, had a sip and it actually tastes better than the day I made it haha. It's in a mason jar - not airtight. No mold or anything visible on the inside of the lid. submitted by /u/letstalkaboutbruno [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Black sediment/specks in Almond Breeze?!

Hi, I noticed black sediment at the bottom of my bowl of cereal/glass of vanilla shelf stable Almond Breeze today. I’m freaked out as I’m immunocompromised and very underweight. This carton has been open less than 7 days and it tasted normal and looked normal pouring out. Is this normal? I don’t see vanilla bean or anything like it as an ingredient. Not sure how to post a photo, but it’s fine black sediment that sinks to the bottom of whatever it’s in. I can’t just call Blue Diamond, bc they don’t take calls. Thanks to any who can help. almondbreeze #almondmilk submitted by /u/Delicious-Load6 ..read more

Is it safe to leave filled brioche bread out at room temperature?

Hi! I’m making brioche buns and filling them with a store-bought ube halaya (ube jam). I’m worried about the rolls hardening too much in the fridge before I serve them; would they be okay out of the fridge for a day or two? The jam has 8g sugar per 15g. submitted by /u/lavender_violets [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

We froze this naan bag for … months I think? The best before date is April 4th. I can’t tell if this is freezer burn or mold. It is completely thawed at this point, and I should also mention my partner ate 2 pieces and then threw up so… that’s why I’m kinda scared to eat it lol. submitted by /u/koistarview [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Accidentally left roasted Nori seaweed out on counter after opening- is it still good to eat?

Hey all! Yesterday my sister and I tried making some onigiri. When we finished cooking, we cleaned up the kitchen but we had completely forgotten to pack our nori away in the fridge and left it out. It wasn't until today I had realized it's still out and the bag wasn't really properly closed. The back of the package said "Product can pick up moisture. After opening, reseal the package and store in refrigerator" but we didn't do that and it's just been sitting on the counter since yesterday. The brand image should be posted here Thanks! submitted by /u/BakedCookies1 [visit reddit] [comme ..read more

Need common knowledge tips to help my contamination OCD

Hello, I have contamination based OCD, it’s fairly severe. I panic almost every night when I’m cooking dinner with raw meat. I have three small children I’m concerned about contaminating, mainly the infant since my hands need to be clean so I can feed her and tend to her. When I cook raw meat even the air in my kitchen feels contaminated to me. I put anything that touches the raw meat in the trash or straight in the dishwasher. I try my best not to use plates bowls or cutting boards just buy cuts that can go from package to skillet because I am so afraid of putting raw meat soaked dishes in t ..read more
